I was the same and actually PC put me off this initially. I also fell for PC's stunning visuals, but felt that they forgot to put the game in before they released it.

I have been off work with man-flu, and have bought a silly number of games (including RDR2 that I had told myself I wasn't interested in) so this is jostling for play-time, but I really like what I have seen so far.

Haven't played a great deal yet, but spent an hour or two trying out the building tools in the scenario editor. I put together a little alpine-esque village to start with.

All of the buildings are linked with staff pathing and all have shops inside (save for the monorail station). I built some totes adorbs little sheds to place over the staff pathing tunnel entrances.

But isometric games give you so much breadth for things looking ordered and deliberate. How can you not?

I'm all about the bottom line, me.... over-salt the chips to sell more soft drinks and I'm happy.

I did put a small tunnel over a bit of my log flume earlier tonight, with a water curtain at either end to make doubly sure everyone gets soaked, I was quite proud of that.

I never played the PC version of Theme Park, I think I had it on the SNES. I think by the time I had the game I'd already played Sim City 2000, which was vastly better in my view, and just didn't get on with the relative simplicity of Theme Park. This cemented the city builder as my management game of choice. I've played a few hours of RCT3 and apparently 28 hours of Planet Coaster, and that's it prior to Parkitect.

Started on the actual park building. The last thing added was the go-karts track, and prior to that I was just about turning a profit. The little rollercoaster is incredibly exciting, apparently.

My intent is to make this a fairly compact little flat area, before bits further into the park are a bit more expansive and better landscaped.

Really thinking of getting this (this site has changed a lot!) and went to the trusty old forum to see peeps opinions - Looks pretty decent tbh, hoping it scratches that itch that Cities:Skyline did to the SimCity games...

It's a great little game. The cutesy presentation masks a surprisingly tricky management aspect, even knowing what I'm doing there was one scenario the other day that kicked my ass until I figured out the trick required.
