So Halo: The Master Chief Collection, including Reach and ODST (along with 1 through to 4), is coming to the PC.

Wow, and not just limited to the rubbish Windows Store either.

I may have to dive in on this, I love the original trilogy and Reach was pretty good too. 4 was a bit dull.

I really hope it has online co-op.

I'm definitely interested, but only if it falls to the £20-30 range. I suspect it'll launch at £50, but then there's an awful lot of game in there. I've never actually played ODST or most of 4.

They should make it Play Anywhere so I don't have to buy it all over again.

I didn't play ODST either but it is highly regarded among the fanbase. 4 has some really cool setpiece moments but it gets really bogged down by lots of highly drawn out combat slogs against very boring, repetitive enemies who are even less interesting than the Flood; the story is a bit hit and miss too.

The canon for this franchise ends with Halo 3 in my head.

I always thought Halo 3 was a good ending to the series anyway.

I believe I played through most of Halo 3 with people on here. Mantis and Raid were two of the people I think.

Given how I used to be the forum fanboy, I've actually forgotten an awful lot of Halos 2 and 3, and certainly Reach as I think I only ever played through it once. I think that's why I'm looking forward to this, it'll be nice to play through them again.

More news appeared late last night, apparently this won't be at all complete when it first appears on PC. It'll be launching with just Reach, and other games will be added over time. They did mention that you'll be able to buy individual games from within the MCC, so I'm not entirely sure what the business model is going to be.

If it's more than £10 per game then I'll probably just hold off until they're all released and in a heavily discounted sale.

My guess would be they sell the complete pack from the off and then allow you to buy individual games as they release.

Reach was pretty excellent I think, last one that Bungie made and it showed with the games that followed. I played 4 but have no memory what the story was about and gave up on 5 a couple of levels in.

Never got on with the multiplayer in any of them.

You obviously didn't play my 200% run speed, 10% gravity, all players start with a Gravity Hammer and Rocket Launcher gametype.
