Don't think we have a thread for this yet, but yes, announced 4 years ago and we finally have a teaser trailer.
There's not a whole lot to go on there; Shodan is in it, and there are robots and zombies. Yup, it's a System Shock game alright. There's not even an idea of the release date yet, so it's kinda pointless judging much of that.

I can't get excited about it given that it's from the same studio that hurled Underworld Ascendant into the world with basic features like a save system missing. My gut feeling is that it will be a mess, but I'd love to be proven wrong.
You could see that one coming. Hardly a shock to the system...

Doesn't help that the developer laid an egg with their previous game, Underworld Ascendant.

Spector reiterated that Otherside is definitely not working on System Shock 3, saying, "Tencent is taking the franchise forward. It'll be up to them to say what they want to say." He also explained that his team had worked on it in 2018 and 2019, "That was it."
I can't say I'm surprised. The last new game in the series was more than two decades ago, it's not a series that's really in the public consciousness any longer (and even at the time I think it had niche appeal) so it won't be a priority. Still, it's disappointing as I'd love to see a third game, I just hope the remake of the first lives up to expectations.
