I have to say I do not like the villain, she is poorly written and does such obvious things, the bit with Lilith is just ](*,)

Other than that I'm still enjoying the game, going to a new world has been neat and I found out I've been pronouncing Maliwan wrong all these years.

Agree, the villain and her brother are shite. Bring back Handsome Jack.

Everything else is great though :)

Just fought Killavolt, I think he was bugged because I took no damage the whole fight, which was good because he was a bugger to take down. You fought him yet Snowy?

Have Gearbox ever made a boss encounter in Borderlands that wasn't broken in one way or another?

I have been zooming along mate - completed the first vault.

Killavolt I took out pretty easily, but the big flying ball thing that is one of the next bosses was fucking un-killable solo. I had to nudge the difficulty down to easy in order to beat it. That's been the only one though.

OK I realised why he did no damage to me, I have a shield that converts all shock damage into shield energy so it was impossible for me to die. :D

That would do it :D

If you can find one that does that for explosive damage, the flying ball of invulnerability may be doable...

If you mean Megamind I managed to take him down pretty easily, it could be that I was slightly over levelled? Using the corrosive pistol I had it melted through him. Only thing I have had difficulty with so far is the wedding party in the sewers, the corrosive rocket launchers they had were lethal, thankfully they didn't all respawn when I died.

Killed General Traunt this afternoon, he was a bit of a bugger, those fire and snowballs that roam round the arena are a killer. Went away and levelled up and grabbed a new gun, as I was still using mostly stuff from the previous area, and came back and beat him on my third attempt. Took about 6-7 goes in total.

Boy the story in this game goes from bad to worse, I can't stand it when games writers make the good guys do stupidly dumb things for plot reasons. The stuff around the missions is fine but as soon as the protagonists show up and they want to advance the story it just dives right into the toilet. Also Gearbox, killing off characters has zero impact when you haven't really done anything to flesh those characters out.

Haha I know the story bit you mean. Utter ballhang of the worst order.

General Traunt I got on the second time of asking, but he was a bastard. That was where my Torgue sticky-splode shotgun was really coming into it's own though. I am an absolute Torgue devotee now, I love me some sticky-rounds.

You must be close to me in story-terms now, fancy getting a co-op session booked in?

Which character did you go for? Looking at the character videos only the hunter and the girl with the mech looked interesting.

The girl with the mech :) Kinda fun, although damage output is nuts, hop in the mech with a good few specialisation tree points and a nice class mod installed and you can chew through waves of enemies in one go.

The Beastmaster I may well play on my next run through - DJ is playing as Zane and can advise what he is like.

I've just unlocked the planet with the Jacobs guy on it, I could do some co-op tonight but after that I'm away till Friday.

Zane is good fun, I went with the clone skill which is good for solo play as it acts as a nice distraction and can put out a good amount of damage. I also have a great skill that has a chance to fire a grenade when I shoot which is hilarious, especially as I managed to kill myself once by firing at something close range and launching a grenade at my face.
