Finally took out one of those massive tank drones yesterday, took 15 fucking rockets and countless bullets. Not worth the effort :?

You can usually get to the goodies stored nearby (which often includes very useful skill points) by carefully sneaking in. WHen they get a whiff of your presence, something that takes very little noise, it can get properly squeaky bum time. The way I have started taking them out is by spawning (or stealing if you haven't yet acquired one) a helicopter with rocket-pods, then carefully wear it down by popping up from behind cover, firing a salvo of rockets, then ducking back out of sight. Takes a long while but you get the goodies that are dropped from the drone-corpse which can be handy.

I usually sneak past them but I just wanted to see if I could kill it. Took several attempts to say the least :x
The stuff it dropped was pretty good though. I tried the helicopter trick and was blown out of the sky almost immediately.

Did you ever finish the main story?

Not even close - I didn't play it all that much when it was Division Recon with levels etc, so have started a new campaign in the far better Immersive gamestyle. Liking that a lot and am on the Jace Skell series of missions at the mo.

Finished some of the Skell missions yesterday. Have filled out most of the skill tree and there are a few that are useless unless your playing it the vanilla way. Don't bother with the Armory Upgrade, it's supposed to give better guns in the shop but there hasn't been a single new item since I started the game. There's one called Dismantle that does fuck all as well.

Loving this game :D

Armoury Upgrade and Dismantle are both for Division Recon, not Immersive. Having played a bit of the former I can spot the lemons 8-)

It's a real shame this game doesn't support cross platform play. I could astound you with how quickly I can turn a simple infiltration into a glorious clusterfuck.

So I've hit level 30 and it doesn't go any higher, that's a bit disappointing :?

Yeah 30 was the limit on Wildlands too. With the game in Immersive though and skill points being available from bases and badass drone sites the level doesn't really mean much.

I too have the same clusterfuck ability :D

I am torn on the AI squadmates. Initially I thought they were a silly omission, as they were handy when playing solo in Wildlands. I am used to slinking around solo now though, so hope that they are toggle-able as I don't think I need them. Buuuut then again, when soloing in a turreted vehicle or two-man helo...

Oh I don't know :D

I've failed so many missions trying to get someone to a safehouse in a vehicle because it was shot to pieces by waves of relentless fuckers in jeeps and helicopters. Not having the ability to shot back really hurts your chances sometimes.

Update is out (19Gb on console). You get the 3 squad mates that can be customised and will supposedly adjust tactics depending on their load out. The enemies seem to look a bit different now uniform wise. There's a few new guns in the shop but nothing spectacular. I've only tried a very quick mission that ended in disaster probably due to me not having played in months and I got sloppy. Got dropped in seconds so maybe enemy AI is a bit harder (or I'm just shit).

Will have to ease back into this but hoping it's gets a new lease of life.

As always, you want a human along for a spot of co-op just say the word. Am around most evenings and weekends.

Not unless it supports cross play mate :(
