I grabbed the weapon skin. I’m not going to give them any money for any of this silliness, of course - but hey if someone wants to buy it from me later, I’ll happily sell the thing.

Was it for a weapon you use Todd?

Yes, actually it is - I really like the M4A1 Tactical variant, I think it's what my dude is carrying as his secondary right now, in fact. So all's well, regardless of the hoopla ;^)
I got one of 2,000, apparently? Zero chance I'd be able to play enough hours to be eligible for the Wolf helmet, though!
Now fuck off with this wasteful bollocks and we can all laugh about the millions you've probably invested in research and development. The best thing is that they've obviously done a lot of PR damage to themselves with this.

Probably safe to assume most of those were bought by Ubisoft themselves in an attempt to get interest going. Wankers.

There's a new mod that lets you play Wildlands in first person, looks pretty good.

Got an invite to the GR: Frontline (aka Flatline) beta today. First person multiplayer PVP. You may remember they said they had canned it after the enormous wave of negativity that followed the announcement.
Fuck right off tbh, nothing could interest me less.

Completely forgot about that shit as did everyone else apparently. No word about that other pile of wank that was announced a while back either, the "punk rock mosh pit.." squad arena pish.
I'm trying to think of a gaming phenomenon that companies have been dead-set on pushing through despite being so universally reviled by players, and drawing a blank. The closest I can come is loot boxes, but the most egregious examples of those ended up backing down when players kicked off en masse.
