I guess I better finish the first one and actually play the second then.

Same. I still have the second and Shadows of Amn on disc in the original cardboard retail boxes. I feel bloody ancient now

HItting Early Access in August...
Re: Baldur's Gate 3: developed by Larian Studios
Some more gameplay.
With due caution and a few remaining concerns... this is starting to look good. It feels like theyβve found their feet, and itβs not entirely like a Divinity game anymore.
This is the first time Iβve been a little bit excited about BG3.

Getting myself properly in the mood with a BG & BG2 replay
As far as this game goes though I've not followed it particularly closely - besides seeing that it's Larian and thereby knowing I'll definitely be buying it - does it follow the same Bhaalspawn story of the previous games, or is it something completely separate? I've become quite attached to the douchey swashbuckler I've been playing as

They've said that it will tie into the Bhaalspawn story, but I get the impression that it's very much its own thing. I expect them to be related stories rather than directly linked.

Ah, cheers. Looks like I'll be making an all-new douchey swashbuckler

BG3 is looking exceptional to me, I just wish they weren't releasing it in early access. I only really want to play the finished product, and I suspect that I'll see half of it on Reddit before that's possible.
Re: Baldur's Gate 3: developed by Larian Studios
This looks great. Original Sin 1 and 2 are really up there among my favourite recent releases and this only looks to be expanding on the style further. I think the combat system in OS2 is one of the best in any turn based RPG.
I hate early access story based games though. I'll be waiting for a definitive edition a year or two after full release.

Not sure where I'll stand on the EA, I feel like it could be fun to just play the first act or whatever while trying out different classes. It will probably largely be dictated by price, I suspect.

Re: Baldur's Gate 3: developed by Larian Studios
Both EA periods helped them make the two Original Sin games even better so I'm OK with it. I never got wind of any of the plot of the two OS games so I think I will be OK with BG3. I might buy it in EA if it is launched at a reduced price.

Yep and the implemented some things that was brought up in EA. I'll be snapping it up as soon as I can to play with a friend as we both love the deepness to their games in co-op. It's very easy to skip info pertaining to anything about it in the meantimeDjchunKfunK wrote: βFri Jun 19, 2020 1:43 pmBoth EA periods helped them make the two Original Sin games even better so I'm OK with it. Mr Annoyed and Proud of it.

I want to be excited about this game but i am very worried they will turn it into real world politics platform rather then just making a good story and gameplay
