Xbox Game Pass for PC
Re: Xbox Game Pass for PC
Its infuriating that it let me play a couple of days because I'm a wee bit hooked on Spire, though I'm not sure on the longevity of the mechanics.

So I installed the super early beta windows patch. And my PC wouldn’t boot. Got it restored to before the patch and BOOM it’s working again!
Reinstalled Spire since I uninstalled it when it wouldn’t launch to try a reinstall. Guess what? Apparently XBox app games uninstall their save games when you uninstall them!

Re: Xbox Game Pass for PC
yep - before the recent updates my PC booted no problem, now its going back to Win'95 boot up times. From the time I switch it on to the time windows finishes booting we are talking 2 minutes and you kind to have to leave it alone. Utterly bizarre O/S that only works well when you do you a fresh install and has the latest specs.

Paused all automatic updates.
Worked fine at 12 today, now its back to doing the same thing again. Not a single thing has changed in the PC. This is just

I've got to say I've had no issues with this at alll, perhaps I've been very lucky. I'm not sure how I feel about it though - I find myself less commited to games when I know I haven't 'Paid' for them and discarding them much quicker than I perhaps would normally.

Kind of obvious what someone would pick there. Realistically i think a game pass style subscription on 200ish titles and others (newer?) are there to buy but if you buy you get a launcher on your PC where you can download and play locally too.

I updates the sub to Ultimate and downloaded Trackmania on the XBO. OMG this game is great fun especially when I can compete with my 5 year old son. Well done Ubisoft.

I looked but couldn't see something already explicitly for this, so thought it would probably be a good thing to have, for news, games to look out for etc.
On that note, having only just signed up to this myself, was quite excited to see that Plague Tale: Innocence - I game I've been waiting for months to come down to a decent price - will be added to the service in the next few weeks, along with a couple of other titles:

As I just posted in the XBox thread, you can get 6 months of Game Pass Ultimate (which contains the PC stuff) for £33.

Re: Xbox Game Pass for PC
Has anybody encountered any issues using the client for PC? I read that the beta version was causing some pretty big problems for some people.
Re: Xbox Game Pass for PC
For me it wouldn’t install or download any game that required admin privileges, which is 70% of them. Tried everything and MS were no help. Upgrade and a reinstall of windows finally seems to have cured it for now at least.
It’s quite a widespread problem too. Bit of a joke it’s still a thing after so many months.

I've downloaded Outer Worlds, Phoenix Point and Metro Exodus, and have been playing the first one, all without issue.

I'm the same. No problems.
