I found this guy's manner a bit off-putting to begin with, but if you keep watching he sums up pretty well why everyone was so hopeful after the alpha and so disappointed with the full release:

£20 on release, that's a steep price for what sounds like a mess of a game.

£18 (so $20 I think), but iirc that's in line with what he charged for the alpha way back when, so probably felt locked-in to selling it now for the same price. A new release discount might have been nice, though.

As for a new purchase now, yes, it's way too much. If it ever hits £5 or under in a sale you can derive a good 10-12 hours of fun from it just in the starting region, before all the region-locked issues bite.

I think even at £5 there are so many other games that you can play to completion that it would seem a waste to spend money on this.

Maybe. Probably.

It's the price-point where it becomes worth paying if you're in anyway curious, is all I'm saying.

Well what a rollerocaster. Got so fed up of playing the starting region that my son and I moved to another region. What a difference! We suddenly had drops aplenty and completed the whole place. Really enjoyed it.
Then we moved to another region and had the shit drops again. We've been there several hours and found nothing apart from some blue gloves. We stopped playing.

FFS. bring back XP so I can grind not just rely on drops (can't believe I'm saying I want to grind :) )
