Sorry to break up the conversation but Hunters is great so far.

The Good Place was.. good. It ended well, but there were a couple of fairly significant problems that I think made sense for the plot, but didn't make for satisfying television. I loved the concept, but I think that was stronger than the execution. That being said, I did watch from start to finish over a handful of weeks, and I certainly enjoyed my time with it, and I have to admit to getting a bit weepy eyed by the conclusion, which is one of the strongest ending to a sitcom I can think of. The entire cast had great chemistry, and other than Tahani's slightly fake British-ness (despite the actress actually being English) grating a little at times it was a great set of characters, and I particularly loved Janet and the fun they got to have with her.
Spoiler
I think the twist at the end of season one was a bit predictable, although I had a heads up knowing that there was in fact a twist coming (I just hadn't any information as to what it was). I just didn't like the memory wipes idea. As I said above, I think it made sense for the plot, but I found resetting the human characters' attitudes towards one another and forcing them to go through the same character growth three or more times was a bit tedious, even if it was truncated after the first time.

Don’t be fooled by the “based on true events” because yes it is at its barest bones but this is way closer to Wolfenstein than reality (kind of). Pacino is perfect and the cartoonish nazis, particularly the first guy we meet at the pool party, are great.

Kingdom

A terrifying look at how the coronavirus has affected Korea... or a zombie show set in medieval times - you decide!

It's really good, though, you guys. Just finished the second season and it's set things up nicely for a third, which is hopefully approved by Netflix in due course. The fact that it's not averse to killing off regular cast members lends the action scenes a nice tension, all in all highly recommended.

Just finished The Good Place . Have a bit more time on my hands resently so pretty much binge watched the last season. Loved it, best thing I've watched in a long time and now I'm sad it's over. Last season went on a bit but it ended well and at peace with itself :) Please never make a prequel, sequel or spinoff, it was perfect.

Also Jason is my new favourite character from a TV show

If anyone hasn't watched Castlevania on Netflix I'll be the first to say it's great.
The animation, especially during the fights is great, and the voice acting is spot on from everyone.
Well worth the time spent.
Season 3 trailer...

Spoilers if you haven't seen the first 2 series I suppose.
Season 4 on the way...

Season 3 was really good. Not often you see someone kick a werewolf in the balls then try to apologize

Sex Education

Only just got around to watching this one.
What a well written comedy/drama. Love all the characters.

Very cool :)

Disinchanted

Watched the first episode and by Christ that was just plain bad. Imagine a really bad episode of Futurama mixed with an equally bad Simpsons and there you have it. Does it improve or am I better just leaving it now?

It doesn't improve in my opinion. The first series (which was all I could stomach) was universally awful, never bothered with the second. I think I laughed once and it was more of a hah than a proper chuckle.

I was pretty disappointed tbh as I really wanted to like it. Funny, I was thinking about giving it a second chance recently, but your post has just reminded me of how dire it really was. Nam flashback style.

This is what I said about it earlier in this very thread:

Watched the first half of the first episode of Disenchantment, Matt Groening's new animated series on Netflix.

... and holy shit that was bad. I'd say it was like car-crash telly, but usually with a car crash you can't look away. Here, though, I literally couldn't take any more and had to turn it off.

Jokes so bad I can't even tell if they were meant to be jokes, boring characters, dialogue and set-pieces, animation slightly off... normally I like to give new shows a few episodes to get going, but I think I'm done.

Matt, what happened?
In the intervening time I've tried a couple of times to give it another chance, but I can literally only make it minutes into an episode before I let out a heavy sigh and turn it off. Just dreadful.

The trailer for the first series when it came out was enough for me.
