For All Mankind
Have been meaning to watch this for a long time now. Set in an alternative 1960's where the Space Race takes a different turn. I don't want to say too much about it as there's great tension based around events that really happened but now history has gone down a different path and your not sure how they're going to turn out. Watched just the first 2 episodes and I can already tell it's going to be a banger. It's one of those TV shows that has been getting rave reviews but you still hear nothing about it.

Finished the first season it's excellent. Can't recommend it enough.
Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series
I've raced through both seasons of Ted Lasso in a week and now I've got that sick, empty feeling which will probably last until season 3 is out. What a sublime show! I have zero interest in football, but it's 100% drawn me in with its wonderfully written and performed characters and their relatable problems. It's so tricky to mix comedy and drama this well and while at first it seemed like Ted's relentless positivity was going to carry most of the weight, the way the rest of the cast each have their own hidden complexities brought to the surface shows just how much depth there is to it as a whole.
The best TV I've seen in a long time. Even the weird Coach Beard episode that was like something out of Twin Peaks.

As the second series of Reservoir Dogs is imminent, can I recommend the first series wherever you can find it? It is fantastic TV.

I know right. It's just the right amount of feel good.
Although that 'Christmas' episode was really out of place but still funny.

Nathan For You (Prime, but leaving soon)
This is great fun, posting as it's currently on Prime but will be leaving shortly. Basically it's set up as a Canadian guy trying to help failing businesses, but he's a comedian (who must have the best poker face in the industry). The businesses and everyone else he deals with, however, are real. Chaos ensues. It's also a little bit Borat in place as his demeanour of complete naivete often leads to people confessing to things no sane, rational person would
Highly recommended.

The Sandman (Netflix)
Watched the first two episodes of this last night, and I have to say I really like it. Maybe not 5/5 stuff, but certainly a very solid 4/5. As a disclaimer I do really like Neil Gaiman's work, but oddly Sandman is the one thing I never delved into, so I have no idea how this adaptation measures up for fans of that series.
Also, despite liking Gaiman's written work, I've found a lot of film and TV adaptations of his work a bit poor. Stardust was alright, I guess, but I didn't like American Gods at all (loved the book), and bailed on it after only a few episodes. This is streets better than that.

Also, someone else please watch Nathan For You, I've been bingeing it and really need to talk about it

Re: Good TV (aka, the TV series spamthread), the second series
I'm seeing very positive comments from people who've seen the whole of The Sandman. I know basically nothing about the original, so I'm looking forward to giving it a go.
I'll try Nathan for You; I've been needing a new less-than-30-minutes show that fits in with my shorter lunch breaks that I get at work these days.
