Oh yeah, I absolutely wasn't trying to persuade Snowy to watch it, I just wouldn't want anyone to think we were masochists having watched something with visible animal deaths.
Sure, that's fair :)
That (Raid) wasn't something I thought, but absolutely this is not something I could watch.

In other news, Dracula on the Beeb is rather good...

Inside No 9

The Christmas episode, fuck me that was dark :?
What, a new one? Or the one from a few years ago?

If it's the old one, that was one of my favourite episodes. Just sat back speechless after it finished.
Season 2 I think. It's amazing I never heard of this show while it was out.

You

On Netflix. Pretty good. it's like Dexter if instead of being a serial killer Dexter was a creepy stalker. We almost stopped watching after 10 minutes as I thought the main character's narration would get on my nerves, but we stuck with it and glad we did as it gets quite binge-worthy after that. Finished up the first season tonight and immediately began the second.

Good Omens

One episode left to go. I read the book as a teenager and can barely remember it, so I can't make any real comparison between the book and the show. But taking the show as its own thing, I've loved it. David Tennant does a typically David Tennant performance (which is decent) and Michael Sheen is exceptional. This has raised him in my estimation from a very good actor to one of the greats. The presentation of Gaiman's tone is far more successful than American Gods (incredible book, good first season, terrible second season), channelling that quintessential Britishness during a crisis that Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett did so well.

For some reason I was wary before going in, probably without justification as it's turned out to be mostly a triumph.

Only seen the first episode, but I find the guy playing Dracula immensely irritating.
Everything else is pretty good (the guy playing Harker was great), but he just grates on me for some reason.

You was one of my favourite shows I saw last year. Need to start the second season.

Tried watching Dracula, gave up half way through the first episode. The guy playing Dracula came across like a used car salesman, and nothing about the show expanded my understanding or appreciation of the mythos around Dracula or vampires in general.

I blame Steven Moffat.

It goes downhill sadly, and yes Mr Dracula's voice is intensely irritating.

I loved the first episode (just for the unusual spin it put on things), enjoyed the second, but then it moved to the present day and the final episode was the weakest by a long margin.

Lost In Space
With S2 dropping I decided to watch S1 again and this show is just great. Even more so when you remember the show its a remake of (I loved it but it was utter trash!). Sure it gets a bit silly, especially towards the end of S2 but its just a great little adventure. What stoney soul among us wouldnt crack when Will and the robot do the victory stance thing? I cant think of another recent spacey TV show I enjoyed watching more. Cant wait for S3!

Interesting, because this is one I just didn't click with, at all. We watched a few episodes but just wasn't grabbing me. Oddly the wife enjoyed it but she didn't fancy watching it without me so we left it there.

I'm tempted to give it another go after we've finished up with You tonight. :-k

I couldn't get on with Lost in Space either. My dad loves it.

Tonight I'm going to finally get round to starting Killing Eve and see what the fuss is about.

I can see that. It is super cheesy at times ;)

I loved Killing Eve s1, beyond that it was just fine.

Dracula episode 1 - it started really strong but by the end became another Moffat shit show. That man simply cannot do the end game. It was OK but the book is miles better 5/10

I read on IMDB user comments that the show just gets worse and worse that by the last episode, 3, it becomes disastrous. Shame - just film the book or make improvements on the book. At least I saved 3 hours by not bothering with episodes 2 and 3

Once again the BBC royally fucks up. I just paid £155 for NHS, murder, gardening and cooking programs. Joy :| Just take any night on the TV listings and one of those subjects will be covered, I shit you not

There’s very little to justify paying the licence fee these days. It’s mostly that it’s not worth the hassle of dealing with the enforcement people who operate like a military junta.

Possible room 101 entry. I don't own a TV. Don't watch TV. Yet I'm still harrarrssed regularly with vaguely threatening letters. I opted out for a while but for some reason that ran out and the letters started again.
They're so scary I keep considering buying one just to keep them happy :) (I'm not)

I also don't own a shotgun, and don't use a shotgun but I also don't get threatening letters from GOV.Uk or the police. So why TV?
