Killing Eve

Thoroughly enjoyed this. Not sure what to expect when going on in but it gripped me from episode 1. I can see why it got so much praise. Interesting to see it is made by BBC America. Looking forward to season 2. Jodie Comer who plays Villanelle is pitch perfect.
8/10

Little Drummer Girl

Yep - I am playing catch up ! Not as compelling as some other Carre thrillers and I did think it portrayed the Israels in a better light but the acting was good
7/10

I think i'd score each of those the same as you did, Achtung.

I think Eve got a little... emotionally convoluted(?) by the end of the season, but it was a novel watch.

Little Drummer Girl was an interesting watch, but it definitely lacked something. Perhaps heart? Or a character you could relate to? It all felt so clinical and distanced. While the performances were great, the show felt a little drab. Great production values though.

Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston completely made The Night Manager in that Le Carre inspired series, and it felt better for it.

I just finished Season 3 of Santa Clarita Diet. I don't have a clue how this show has not descended to unwatchable - it's beyond absurd, but I love it. I think that because it doesn't take itself seriously at all it makes for a great watch.

Me and the missus have been loving The Orville by the way mate, so thanks for that. So rare to find a show we're both enthusiastic about!

Anyone else read Garth Ennis's books for The Boys? (illustrated by the great Darrick Robertson, who also was involved in Warren Ellis's Transmetropolitan which EVERYONE should read! /unrepentant comic pimping)

New Trailer is out - looks moderately faithful to the source for now!

I'll take a does of Karl Urban any way I can get it.

Watched the last episode of Season 2 of The Orville - absolutely loved it - soooo many references in there, and kinda fun what they did!

Really hope it gets renewed for Season 3.

Very disappointed that Santa Clarita Diet has been canned - that too was very fun!

I really thought Santa Clarita was going to fall into the annoyng cycle of 'oh no, they're going to get caught, then shenanigans ensue' but they managed to keep out of that (just)

Probably the excellent banter between the married couple have a normal conversation in extraordinary situations helps raise it up. Mr Olyphant is excellent.

What makes it worse is that season 3 ended on such a stupendous cliffhanger.

I have mixed feelings about this. I though they had started to lose the plot a little in series 3 as they started to escalate things, the series worked on how small things where. It was about Joel and Sheila trying to remain undetected, the more people that got turned the less believable this got and the dumber it was. The way they ended the series pissed me off as well and felt like they really had run out of interesting ideas. So a part of me is not that bothered that it had been cancelled, on the other hand I loved watching Olyphant in the role of Joel and there were some really funny moments in series 3.

New season of Daredevil is about as good as it was in season 1. Prison fight scene was fantastic!

Does it matter if I didn't watch The Punisher and the other spin-offs? He was great in Daredevil 2 but found the series very boring, never got past episode 4. Also bailed on Luke Cage for same reason.

I think it carries on from something that happens at the end of the Defenders but I never watched any of them and it’s not hard to get your bearings.
