I'm always up for more Riddick and the bonkers works he exists in.

I don't get the point, make the same film again but worse? WTF?

Oh, and I'm irrationally annoyed by the cop's name badge (McAllister) - I'm presuming that's meant as a cheeky nod to the fans of the original. I guess they assume fans of the original will cheer that as they sit and watch said shot-by-shot remake but worse?

Who is this film for?

Gah, I've only been awake for half an hour and already I'm furious

Of all the things that annoy and bewilder me about it, I’m stuck on how the kid comes across like Alan Carr in a wig affecting a vaguely Australian accent.

What makes someone set out to make a film like that? There's an old adage I've heard that "nobody sets out to make a bad movie", so one would think that the team behind it had good intentions... but what did they expect to achieve simply repeating an incredibly fondly remembered kids film? There had to be a goal in mind, and I can't believe it was just "money", because they could stick the Home Alone name on anything.

The only good thing to come out of this is that I've stumbled across some news that I somehow missed a couple of years ago. Macaulay Culkin asked the internet to vote on a new middle name for him, and the winning name was Macaulay Culkin. And so he legally changed his name to Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin.

I'm 100% convinced that the creative process for that was just get a chubby Harry Potter lookalike and we'll work the Home Alone plot around that somehow. Who cares if he can't act, just get this shit made in time for Christmas.

its a shame Rob Delaney is in this pile of shite as I like him and think he is a good comedy actor. At least it paid for his mortgage.
