Disney +

Expected this November. The US are getting it for $7 - so I expect we will pay £7

I might sub - have not fully decided.

Than we have BritBox coming soon and WarnerMedia. The big question for me as a Sky subscriber is HBO. If Sky loses HBO I will gutted as I like a lot of their shows. This is quickly becoming a right pain in the arse if all these studios want a piece of us. Something will give.

I just can't see myself ever subscribing to a streaming service for an individual studio, even a company as massive as Disney can't have sufficient content to warrant it. I would rather the price for Netflix went up than having to subscribe to multiple providers. If they ever do single month passes, I'd give it a look, but I'm not going to spend £7 a month to watch a handful of Marvel and Star Wars films.

true

After all the comments that Netflix was killing piracy because people want legit choices, too many choices that all require subscriptions will now refuel piracy. What comes around, goes around.

I will have to see how much content they have and if its £72 a year, its no big issue. I mean it is the equivalent of taking the wife for a swanky meal. I dunno. Let's see.

I am more interested in what BritBox will be like.

Subbing for a month to catch up on a few Marvel or Disney movies I might have missed could be worth it, maybe if they get all the Simpson stuff on it it could be worth it as they have Fox now.

This. I sub Netflix and also get Prime because I am a Prime member (more for the buying shit than the watching shit, but y'know). I pay the bare minimum for terrestrial TV for the wife.

Anyone has anything I really want to watch, well I also have a VPN and zero compunction about using it. If we get a war between TV providers I can see myself binning all the subs and just picking up what I want when I want it.

I would pick it up in this bundle deal. I already pay for hulu and where I live has horrible internet so official streaming services are really only thing that work well. no pirate streaming services for me

Hulu doesnt seem to have much good original programs but the tv service is owned by fox/disney/comcast/nbc so they get a bunch of the titles that they have produced in the past.

So we have to wait 5 months apparently, which feels odd in this day and age.
