So the posh bint's team is an utter shambles while the other team looks to be a roaring success. Which of course means that the former will win the episode somehow -_-

The team that lost really didn't have any excuses for being so tardy with the food - they had 1 extra member than the other team to deal with all the customers on the train. Not sure why that wasn't mentioned in the boardroom.

Music re-mixing next week. My cringey-sense is already tingling. #-o

It's usually the guided tour / hospitality event episodes (basically any time the poor public are forced to spend time with these clowns) that I find the most cringeworthy, so I think we're probably going to be alright.

Ryan-Mark was the guy I was hoping would make it to the interviews and then ripped apart when Claude realises his "luxury womenswear" experience was working the stock room in a small branch of Marks and Spencer, so I'm a little disappointed to see him go. Still, his throwing of American woman whose name I can't remember under the bus for failing to ask one important question (when he himself dithered and tried to sell his luxury experience to clients who weren't looking for one) made him a worthwhile firing. I don't really understand why they were given time to plan their days before knowing what the client actually wanted though.

I had the exact same thought. I can only think it was to set up the sort of awkward situation we saw last night.

Also, the circus act for the winning team, did they actually have those in the end? I remember them booking them but then no memory of them actually performing.

I think they paid them a cancellation fee, after negotiating with them?

I also think they see the teams up to test adaptability, among other things....

Huh. So it turns out one of my oldest friends was in the programme last night; he works for STA, the young, apparently hip travel company that Ryan-Mark's team failed at serving, and I missed him hiding in the background, but he was at the event. I am plying him with questions via facebook.

Apparently Claude liked his ruff. His words.

Ok, so:
-The editing definitely made them look more incompetent than they were; the day was generally pretty good and they enjoyed it.
-My friend drank 3 bottles of red wine himself over a 9 hour journey, so clearly that team had thought of the booze situation too.
-Ryan Mark was exactly like he appears in the programme.

I thought their team definitely looked like their day went better, the worst part seemed to be being slow to serve the food and not taking dietary requirements into account. It was the winning team's experience that looked about as fun as a day trip to a morgue.

Thomas knows. He looks gutted.

Feel a bit sorry for him actually.

He got as much as he was getting from the process, but hasn't quite learnt acumen, and Marianne's card has been marked for too long too, that lying behind a smile manipulation crap needed getting rid of. I do hope Lottie is being fattened for the interviews....her snide is irritating.

The task was all a bit random and messy. None of the members of each team knew much about the business, so they were just blurting out numbers & figures hoping some of it would stick.

Also, not sure I agree about Sugar's insistence that Thomas would be 'great in a war'. Going on his record in these tasks, he'd probably end up convincing everyone there aren't any machine gun nests round the corner and to 'trust him' before the entire platoon got shot to ribbons by machine gun nests.

Usually by this point I have a clear idea of who I think will be a finalist, but I don't think I can even remember anyone's names other than Lottie. It feels like they've gotten rid of all of the big personalities really this year, and everyone else is just a non entity.

So, it's either the small family bakery or a middle-manager recruitment agency. Fun times.
