Not so sure - reading this article a fair few of the businesses have done rather nicely for themselves (and therefore for SrAlan).

On the flip side, I didn't know until reading that we have The Apprentice to thank for the piece of execrable shit that is Katie Hopkins, so on balance I think the show needs to be axed :-k

er...that is pretty piss poor return on 15 plus years of investing when half of the candidates dropped business and became celebrities/politicians

I think the two blokes doing the marketing materials for the winning team should be thanking their lucky stars they weren't on the losing side, as they made a pig's ear of the whole thing. I didn't think the winning ride looked particularly interesting, but I guess of the two I'd rather go on that than the Vomit Comet.

Every so often the apprentice has an episode where nobody makes cringe inducingly awful decisions, and the pitches are surprisingly competent, and I remember why I started watching it. I'm also finding myself hating Thomas less and less as the weeks go on; he's still a bit of a buffoon, but I'm starting to see some of his charm.

I was genuinely surprised the space one lost. By Apprentice standards it wasn’t all terrible, whereas the nightmare one was utter crap and I’m confused as to what the professionals saw in it. Was it purely on the basis that the losing team’s acceleration from 0 to 120mph in 1.5 seconds would likely be fatal?

I would have thought the comfort level of the coaster would be a forgivable mistake given that none of the candidates are physicists. I think they lost because they came up with two selling points and then didn't put either of them on the poster.

It did amuse me that they may have basically designed a Euthanasia Coaster.

I watched that and thought "So an F1 car goes from 0-100 in around 2.4 seconds. What would shaving almost a second off that do to a body, and how the hell would anyone be able to build such a thing?"

Then I sat back and wanted to punch Ryan Mark's face in for the rest of the episode. Such a punchable face...

Back when Rollercoaster Tycoon first came out, I designed a map-wide coaster which I named Bodybag. It began at the maximum allowed altitude and launched at max speed down a vertical drop which bottomed out with no mercy into a series of tight spirals. It then continued in a similar brutal fashion for several minutes. The vertical and lateral g-forces topped out at about 45g. It got a screenshot in PC Gamer! :)

Can't believe Thomas has yet again evaded the boardroom. The digital ad was crap and was entirely his idea, how is he less culpable than Ryan-Mark?

Hopefully the PM takes the bullet here, she's been crap throughout and her pitch tonight was embarrassing.

Yep, PM has no excuse.

EDIT - Gah. TBH, they were all useless, should have fired them all.

It's quite an interesting tactic. Be so overpowering with your shit ideas that you can't realistically be accused of 'not doing much' which seems to trump shit ideas on this show.

Nice way to get through the early rounds. It all comes crashing down at some point though.

In fairness it's getting to the point where I really want to see him get put through the interviews
