That is pretty awesome. I didn't realise that he was even still doing things like that for people.
Nor did I - total bolt from the blue, I don't think my dropped jaw lifted until the end.

New Cloudkicker. Album of the decade right there, monstrous riff after monstrous riff, blink and you might miss some.

This guy takes the cake for me above any other metal artist, even Devin.

I feel like I'm listening to a plane's misfiring engine, from the inside. What even is this?!

Edit: What They Do... has a weirdly funky bit that reminds me of the guitar tone on CKY's Quite Bitter Beings.
Around 4:10 it sounds like Deathmole's Fighting Off The Emus (one-man "band" by an online comic artist - obscure reference points?)
6:30 back to that CKY-like weird-as-fuck time sig groove.
Code Language: Ohhhh this "slaps" as some kids say. Realllly groovy at the start.

Groovy djent style riffs over post metal ambience. It's a one man project that's been going for a good decade or so now, I never get tired of listening to him.

Yeah a lot of the groove comes from him using that Meshuggah style cymbal work to keep the 4/4 feel but then each meter is cut up in weird ways so the riffs are all over the place. Think he was using a lot of octave effects on this album too which is where the CKY sound kind of shines through.

He's been doing a bit more comparatively slower paced stuff these last few years but this album really brings back the heaviness to a new level, the whole album is just intense riffage from start to finish.

That's not bad, only listened to a bit but it was good. The opening sounds like an air raid (intentional I assume?), there's also hints of Quake 2 soundtrack in there :)

I never got to see them! 😢

I think they were on the bill of some festivals in '19 or '20, which were obviously cancelled. Bugger.

I think I seen them three times. Bloodstock, Tattoo The Planet and once as a headline. They were impressive.

New Gojira is worth a post, one of my favourite bands of all time...

Great tune. Really need to see this band live one day, I don't think they've put out a bad album so far.

Have you not seen them? Mate you absolutely need to, they are sensational live. They are on the short but perfectly formed roster of "see them every time they tour" for me.

I second Gojira as being an absolute must-see band. I'm really looking forward to their next album after that last track. Another World was a solid song but it failed to stir as much excitement for me as this one.
