Still playing Clear Sky.
It's good, but I want it to be over now.

Re: Currently Playing
I want to play Ace Combat 7, but much expensive it is.
Instead I picked up 5 & 0, since I missed out on them (and 4 again since why not for £2). Underneath the PS2 era graphics is a frantic and intense arcade flight combat game which can still surprise today. So many close calls and enemy jets zooming right past during dogfights and the missile alerts and dumb radio chatter. Good stuff.

Ace Combat is possibly the series I've most been mistaken for playing. Multiple times have I encountered people who assumed I was an AC fan, but in reality I'd never heard of it until 2006 or so.

Not quite sure what the telltale signs are for spotting a AC fan is. Does your everyday life revolve around flying fighter jets against enemy doomsday weapons, and it's all narrated by a (at times) dramatic Japanese scriptwriter?

Return of the Obra Dinn
Good gravy, this is certainly worth a look. For those who have remained oblivious to it, I'd suggest keeping it that way and going in with as little info as possible. The basic gist is that you have to piece together what happened to the crew of a 19th century (I think?) ship. While it's not perfect in terms of the game mechanics, the experience is unique and often unsettling in the most brilliant, slow-building manner. I don't think I've been this unnerved since playing the Cradle in Thief 3.

Ha, yeah, it's been sitting on my Steam wish-list since release, have been waiting for a bit of a sale but it's been resistant to any discount thus far.
