Yeah, I'm not sure saying that they're not aiming at older hardware is really a selling point when they're using a game engine originally designed for the console generation from 2005. I just hope to god they've completely stripped out and rebuilt the animation system, as I absolutely hated the character and facial animations in Fallout 4.

Well no, but what I was getting at is that it's another reason the comparison to Cyberpunk doesn't work, as its biggest problems were due to it being 'supported' on Xbox One and PS4 when it really shouldn't have been. Starfield won't have that issue.

Bethesda games are buggy but they are nowhere near the level Cyberpunk was on console, the game was unplayable for a lot of people. Sony took the PS4 version off the store because it was so bad.
There's no question in my mind that this Cyberpunk thing was a corporate screw-up and not a dev issue. I also believe that if the devs had been able to focus on the PC version, and latest console versions, instead of also taking the time, trying to cram this gorgeous game into a shoebox, it would have been an overall much more successful launch, with plenty more content that was promised but never delivered.
There is no way that was feasible though not only because there were not enough next gen consoles to make it profitable enough at the time, but the next gen version wasn't even ready for launch and took over a whole year longer which suggests there were fundamental issues around the console code. I don't think in any world would it have been possible for CDProject to delay Cyberpunk by over a year.

There were for sure business decisions that effected the launch of the game but I think on the development side there were a whole host of issues as well.

CDProject as a whole really screwed up over Cyberpunk.

The first teaser for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (sequel to Fallen Order, probably the best Star Wars game made since the early 2000s) was released yesterday.

No gameplay, but I think it's safe to say it'll play like the first, which is absolutely fine by me.

Yeah, I really enjoyed the first, and hopefully this one comes to Game Pass as well.

I don't think the first was on Gamepass initially, but then I don't think any EA stuff was on the service until the next year anyway. Here's hoping though.

Tangentially related; Lego unveiled a BD-1 model which I'd be sorely tempted by if funds were available.

Only EA Play stuff ends up on Game Pass so I wouldn't expect to see the sequel on Game Pass for a year or so.

That's fine, I'd rather wait a year and play it on GP than pay £60-odd for it.

Little something I've been working on:

Edit: I know the audio on the first couple of vids (first Solasta and first FM22) aren't great, however at that point I invest in a better mic and learn a bit more about sorting out the audio levels, so it gets better!

Not being in paid employment since March has helped

Weird thing, since I started the channel, my desire to play games for leisure has dropped to basically nil, while I really enjoy playing and filming them, so pretty much all the time I was spending playing games has been channeled into producing videos instead
