Yeah, was reading that. I'm quietly hopeful for this, mostly down to the Dishonored comparisons.
Admittedly, I didn't play the original as I had no means to at the time, and it never seemed like an old game to play without having originally played it.
The uh interestingly designed helmet has me intrigued, that's for sure. In all seriousness, it looks like it could well deliver on the promise The Callisto Protocol failed to deliver upon mostly due to its very at times unconventional combat system that I initially enjoyed but grew to dislike as I went on - I gave up some 5 hours in which is a shame as the actual horror elements production and graphics were excellent.
Building the future, and keeping the past alive - are one and the same thing.
Funnily enough, I almost included a "hope it's better than Callisto" comment. I wanted to like that game, but the constant vents and squeezing through spaces grew so tiresome and felt like such a waste of my time.
My comments to Snowy through Discord at the time:
"And that's that in the fucking bin. Incredibly pretty game with bland, often irritating combat, great looking levels with utterly wank design. Constantly funnelled through vents and tight spaces that it starts to feel like it's wasting your time. Uninstalled."
FromSoftware have announced their new single player game and it's.... a Switch 2 exclusive.
Aesthetically it looks more Bloodborne than any of their others, but it's leaning a little more in the steampunk direction. Not really any detail on how it plays yet, but it looks good.
Oh, okay then. I guess that's why it's a Switch exclusive; I did think it a bit odd that they'd announce their next big game as not being multi-platform, but what little I could tell from the trailer as being multiple players looked like their standard terrible co-op functionality.
