Biomutant has a release date

Reading some opinions from those that have played it, it sounds like it's aimed at kids - cutesy characters, baby-talk dialogue and ludicrously easy combat even on hard difficulty (people talk about getting through the game easily with starter weapons and no upgrades). If that's the case it's bizarre to launch it at a AAA, £50+ price point.

Not for me, this one, I think.

I don't think that is the case, I think the combat has just not been refined and balanced correctly as the developers clearly bit off more than they can chew. It's kind of incredible that a team of 20 tried to make a massive open world game like this. I'm not surprised most of the stuff you do in it is cookie-cutter stuff.

Fair enough, I was being a bit hyperbolic there. But it does sound like it's pretty dumbed down and even those liking it are saying it's going to be more appealing to casual players.
