I'll take it from the trailer that you can either stealth a mission or just run in swinging.
I'd heard of the black samurai before but I'm pretty sure Ubi are taking massive liberties with the story. But as Snowy said I'm all for it if it gets a bunch of frothing troglodytes all hot and bothered.

Out of perverse interest I looked at the comments on the YouTube advert for the game - and it was predictably vile. The overwhelming argument seemed to be "Yeah but of course he wasn't a samurai, he was only in Japan for a year and was a servant at best". Honestly they may just as well have typed "I am not a racist, but..."

The character stuff works exactly like it did in AC: Syndicate so you can switch between each character whenever you want and they each have their own bespoke missions.

I thought I'd missed the start of this one. Have to wait until November.

This looks interesting. Horror game set on an oil rig off the coast of Scotland in the 1970's.
Still probably preferable to living in Scotland during the 1970's

Just the kind of creative investment I am looking for, it sounds great, I will add that to my 'pending' list...

Looks like the setting is late 80's and early 90's from the characters on screen. No actual gameplay footage but I'm intrigued. I gave up on CoD a long time ago but the Black Ops games always seem to be that bit more interesting looking plot wise.
I don't really get the Quake vibe, but it does look good. The skull grinder machine-shotgun thing is... a choice, but I love the chainsaw shield-glaive.

Oh dear...
Did Bioware watch D&D Honor Among Thieves and decide 'that's what Dragon Age needs'?
And also lol at the comments calling it Dragon Age: Fortnite

I’ll wait for the gameplay trailer tomorrow before getting too worried, but this trailer is from the in-game engine. It’s… a tone change, certainly.
The development of DA4 has obviously been a mess (they’ve admitted to restarting it from scratch I think twice now), but even the last-minute change of name from Dreadwolf to The Veilguard is such a weird choice. Nothing about their actions or the trailer fill me with confidence, and yet rumours from those who’ve seen the game are that it could be a sleeper hit. Stranger things have happened, I guess.

I thought they were turning it into a multiplayer hero shooter from that reveal. Consdiering the rumours that it started life as a multiplayer/service game of some description I am expecting it to be a bit of a mess considering how games such as Redfall and Suicide Squad have turned out after similar trajectories.
