Sounds like it's a full on remake rather than a quick and dirty cash grab like GTA was.
I'm not sure I'm all that enthused to be honest. I really liked Max Payne, but it's a bit simplistic I think for a modern audience. Bullet time has been done to death in various forms, and it didn't have any other mechanics worth talking about. The atmosphere at least in the first game was pretty good (I don't think I ever played the second), but I don't think it has much else going for it.

Rockstar won't ever be getting any of my money ever again after that absolutely shambolic GTA Defnitive Edition crap.

I was disappointed by that, but on the flip RDR2 is probably my favourite game of all time. I suspect they will get more of my money.
