Uh I wonder if this has anything to do with the Origin Prime games we've been getting each month. It would be nice to consolidate two launchers I guess.....

Nah, that'd kill 95% of EA's revenue. I'd be surprised if the business model really changed, although I'd be bloody delighted if Origin (or whatever EA is calling its client these days) was killed.
