:lol:

Remember the days of the demo. It saved a lot of time of whether you like something. To some extent that is why I like GamePass because it gives you the ability to play games you otherwise would not bother

Demos are great. If a game I'm semi-interested has one, I'll play it first. This year for instance it saved me £30 by letting me know this year's version of Football Manager is shite and to not bother.

After playing the demo for a few hours it became apparent they've cocked this year's match engine. In particular, strikers can't score to the point that you can have half a dozen or more one-one-ones every game and they'll miss every single one. On the other hand, the majority of your goals come from 40-yard wonderstrikes.

In the half-season demo Firmino played every game and scored one goal (a header I think), while people like Henderson and Wijnaldum were reaching double-figures, every one of them a goal of the season contender.

It wasn't even that I was bad at it, by Christmas I was top of the league by a clear 7 points and progressing in every competition, but every match had me banging my head against the desk in frustration. Ultimately the issues with the ME (and those aren't the only ones) made it no fun to play.

That's a shame, wonder if it is something they have fixed, or plan to fix. I was almost thinking of jumping back in, it's been a good few years since I played some FM.

Looks like they might have done some stuff, this is from the latest patch.
Improvements to finishing in clear-cut-chance situations

I read one of the recent Steam reviews saying it hasn't fixed the problem. Although that was just one of myriad issues really.

So far I've bought:
Shadow of the Tomb Raider definitive, Dishonoured 2: Death of the Outsider, and Aliens vs. Predator;

Also downloaded the Trepang 2 demo, which scratches an itch....to a degree.
Everything on the internet is 100% true.

"Grand Theft Auto 4 was originally created for the Games For Windows Live platform," reads the statement. "With Microsoft no longer supporting Games For Windows Live, it is no longer possible to generate the additional keys needed to continue selling the current version of the game. We are looking at other options for distributing GTA4 for PC and will share more information as soon as we can."

I would in something like FTL like in Into The Beach as fun new objectives. They’re so easy to spoof that I doubt anyone takes them seriously.

If done right I find that achievements can be a nice way to add some extra challenges into a game. Most of the time they just go ignored though as a lot of them tend to involve mundane grinding.
