Steam News & Updates
Re: Steam News & Updates
Guessing most people will have it already (as I do), but currently Metro 2033 (original version) is free to keep on Steam.
I have a Youtube channel now! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6kVsr ... Q/featured

Apparently he's been talking to Microsoft about something, that must be it.

Sorry I thought I put it in the post.
Person asks if Steam is coming to consoles. Gabe says you'll find out by the end of the year. Everyone goes "woooooooooo"

Re: Steam News & Updates
I don't get it. Why would I even want Steam on my console? Unless they're referring to Steam-made games, which amounts to pretty much diddly squat for the last decade.
Re: Steam News & Updates
In an ideal world of cross play, cross achievements, cross save etc.. it could make some sense but we’re nowhere near that. If your PS5/XSX/switch/phone could pull your steam cloud save down at continue on that would be magic.

Re: Steam News & Updates
I guess if it turns consoles into what Steam Machines were meant to be (and kind of what Steam Link consistently struggled to be), it's not a terrible idea. It could also put an end to the days of deciding whether to get a game on console or PC, although if you take that to its logical conclusion then surely you'd only ever want to buy games on Steam so you can play them on both PC and console.

Jesus, it isn't cheap is it
Re: Steam News & Updates
Compared to a Switch, sure, but not if you consider it competition to a gaming laptop.

I love the idea its a portable gaming machine that you plug a mouse/keyboard with a monitor. Great for travelling.

Re: Steam News & Updates
I’ve been seeing these AMD APU units creep into handheld devices for a short while now, such as this one.

They certainly look pretty capable.
I played through Wasteland 2 on the Switch, and while it absolutely hammered the Switch for performance the overall experience hand me wanting to play more games like that on the go. Wasteland 3 on a handheld would be perfect for me.

Is it me or do the sticks look too high to be comfortable for extended periods?
