The very closest to me is Noisy Duck developer (indie) and the biggest is Kalypso (makers of Tropico franchise) - I never knew I lived so close them !!

Below is a summary of UK gaming in 2017. Data from UKIE

There's a bunch in my town, but I've not heard of any of them.

And that's the story of why I'm not allowed near pregnant women for the next few weeks.

I can see the offices of a developer from my flat window. I'm pretty sure Team 17 are based really close by to me too.

Team 17 are based in Ossett - I did a week of work experience there when I was 15. :)

I had to beg them to let me do it, they'd forgotten about it when I turned up and their end of week report was a scrap of paper that said "work ex kid was shit". Still, was pretty cool and got to meet the guy who voiced all the original worms.

Oh, I could have sworn they had an office in Nottingham too!

Just the one nearby dev it is then.

Well, unless Wrathbone's work experience placement was so catastrophic they had to move to a completely new city.

Let's just say that Ossett was a thriving metropolis before I arrived there.

Bloke down my road works for Lionhead. I only know this because I had a piece of mail delivered to me that was for him, and it showed his employing company in the address. Never spoken to him other than to say "This is for you, got delivered to me by mistake".

Ah, community :)

Worked. Lionhead was closed down in 2016. One of my friends from university worked there.
