GTA V is now free.

Although the site is unsurprisingly fucked.

They have a sale on too not that it matters due to the above, but they have the old £10 voucher thing going again.

This is also probably why Epic introduced 2FA for claiming the free games, to stop all the cheaters who keep buying the game over and over on Steam from grabbing a load of free copies of the game.
Eh? I don't see how 2FA would have any impact on that. You can sign up with infinite email addresses using either throw-away emails or the Gmail plus hack, and generating 2FA codes is a trivial and well-documented process.
It has an impact, it's not going to stop everyone but it puts an extra step in.

Epic are still paying Rockstar money eVol, if Steam were to do the same I'm sure Rockstar would be happy to give GTAV away for free on Steam.

Yeah of course they are, it was you that said it had little to do with money! ;)

Anyway, Breakpoint for 6.50 is tempting!

I was speaking more about the money Epic was giving them in that I don't think they had to pay out a huge amount.

The free games available during the sale have apparently leaked...

So in this timescale:
If a game is 14.99 or more you can use your epic coupon for 10quid off.
Any time you buy a game of 14.99 and use the epic coupon they give you another epic coupon.

This means if you are a dev taking part in the sale that lets them set the price between 4.99 and 14.98 youre a numptie becuase if they just set it to 14.99it would cost less! :-k

Oh my god.... ok i'm very much against investing in the Epic Game Store, but at the discounted price that Hades is at, I can't not recommend it! It's a work of art!! 8-)

Also fairly tempted by FC5 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint at those prices... not that i need more games i won't play...

Ubi ones link to your uplay so you don’t actually need epic store to launch them ;)

CDProjekt changed the price of The Witcher 3 over the weekend by a cent so that it was no longer valid for use with the coupon. I know Epic covers the cost of the coupon but I can understand developers being concerned with the precedent having their game on sale for £5 can set.

My issue is with the fragmentation of platforms. I want all games to be available on our platform of choice, and that Steam, EPIC, Rockstar, Ubi, Origin compete to offer the best integrated platform. The more exclusivity agreements the are the worse it is for games and pricing.

But i take your point
