Re: General Gaming News
The combat and gameplay in this was very bog standard but holy shit was the story and voice acting something else. The infamous white phosphorus scene and the crazy ending. One of a kind.
Re: General Gaming News
There was a proper trailer for the new Monkey Island in today's Nintendo Direct (it's coming to Switch).
I genuinely can't decide whether I love the new art style or hate it. It looks fantastic in cutscenes but the animation in gameplay segments just reminds me of flash games.

Re: General Gaming News
I really don't like the art style, but I expect I won't care much if the game itself is good.
Re: General Gaming News
The art style could grow on me, after all barring the first two games every subsequent MI game has had a drastically different style.
Still that hasn't stopped the internet personally attacking Ron Gilbert and his team to the point they've had to take down their blog and won't be sharing any further news of it in development:

This is why we can't have nice things.

Re: General Gaming News
It barely feels worth commenting on that story. The Internet is full of anonymous arseholes. Maybe don't do arseholish things.
The art style has definitely grown on me, but I think I've narrowed down what it is about it that puts me off; it's the eyes, they just don't look very expressive giving everyone a bit of a blank look. It's kinda weird that the two skull-faced characters seem to have more expressive faces (because it looks like their eye sockets change shape) than the living ones.
But regardless of ocular definition, I'm really looking forward to this.

I don't understand why he didn't respond to the comments with insult sword fighting.

This makes me very happy! The expansion part anyway. I’ve finished it fully on both PC and switch so any new content is so welcome.
It coming to iPad for Netflix subs only is troubling though. Makes me worried for their future should Netflix decide to absorb them because they are one of my fav devs and I don’t want to have to sub to shitey Netflix to play their next game. :/

Quite like the idea of the Robocop one! We'll see how it fares.

No idea where to place this but if there are any Warhammer fans who liked the look of it - Necromunda: Hired Gun can be had for £3 right now............

I’m at also in the Humble Choice this month, that’ll be why it’s cheapened out on key sites.
