It's worth pointing out that PS5 owners who have PS Plus also get access to their new catalogue of Plus classics which include quite a lot of big hitter PS4 games, so even if you subscribe on a month where the rotational offering is pretty poor you will always have the added back catalogue of free titles to delve into. There are some very good ones on that list from what I recall.

You can usually get PS Plus keys for slightly cheaper off various online retailers rather than buying the sub directly from Sony. They only usually do discounts on their own store for it during big events like Black Fridays. I think I picked up 2 years worth for about 50% off a couple of years ago and it only recently came up for renewal.

Cheapest way is to wait for a Sony sale on plus then pay for it with top ups from cdkeys. I think it works out not much more than £30 for the year.

To be fair, if I'm getting a few games every month to keep for the price of an annual sub, I don't think it's a bad deal, especially given how much a console game costs compared to Steam...

I'm in an unusual situation in that while not living in the UK I wanted a UK account. Last time I used PS Now on PC with a European account some of the games didn't have the native english language, which majorly pissed me off... ](*,) so I'm already paying a premium on exchange rates if I use this.

If I grab it, I'll probably grab it at price this year and then see for next year, if it works out. I did see that there's often deals but I want to confirm all the region stuff before I start spending money on the PS store.

I would like an update to their production line that actually provides enough stock to allow me to buy one.

I know what you mean mate it's almost a meme at this point.

Looking forward to tomorrow cashing in an extra 5 quid to get the PS5 version of Death Stranding I got on the cheap.

Well, I got one. I heard the local GAME had been getting a steady supply of stock in so went along a couple of weeks ago to get placed on their waiting list. Almost two weeks to the day and they rang me this afternoon to let me know it was available. Everyone in the queue at the store seemed to have rushed down as soon as they got the call as we were all leaving with PS5s.

Won't be setting it up until tonight, but suffice to say I am stoked. Funnily enough, I didn't buy any PS5 games (not at GAME full retail pricing at least) and have plenty of PS4 games that I'm looking forward to running at higher framerates first.

Astro's Playroom is one of the most joyous nostalgia filled little cutesy platform games I've played. All the uses for the haptic feedback on the controller are really well implemented, it really shows off how great the new controller tech is. I hadn't even given much thought to the dual sense stuff, but it really adds a lot more than I ever anticipated.

I agree, would love a big full length version of it. The intro to it was the first time I experienced haptic feedback and I never understood it until then and was absolutely blown away by it.

Novembers plus games, not too bad, pretty good if you have PSVR.

Knockout City
First Class Trouble
Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning.

PS VR titles:
The Persistence
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners
Until You Fall.

PlayStation is uniting PS Now and PS Plus to form a new three-tier subscription service.

The new service, sitting under the PS Plus brand, is set to go live in June and will include a number of new features.

PS Plus Essentials is the same as the PS Plus service today, which includes two monthly downloadable games, online multiplayer access, game discounts and cloud storage. It also costs the same: $9.99/€8.99/£6.99 a month, $24.99/€24.99/£19.99 for three months, or $59.99/€59.99/£49.99 a year.

PS Plus Extra includes all of the above but adds a collection of 400 PS4 and PS5 games that can be downloaded. These games will include the likes of Spider-Man, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, God of War, Returnal, Mortal Kombat 11 and Death Stranding. More titles, including those from third-party developers, will be announced nearer the time. Additional titles will be added on a regular basis. PS Plus Extra will cost: $14.99/€13.99/£10.99 a month, $39.99/€39.99/£31.99 for three months, or $99.99/€99.99/£83.99 a year.

PS Plus Premium includes all of the above, but also adds classic games from the PS1, PS2 and PSP (which can be downloaded or streamed), time-limited game trials and PS3 and PS4 game streaming. This service will cost: $17.99/€16.99/£13.49 a month, $49.99/€49.99/£39.99 for three months, or $119.99/€119.99/£99.99 a year.

Does this mean that standard subscribers will lose access to the PS Plus Collection? The current membership includes about 20 exclusives that you can download to PS5. Looks like a good chance of those titles being shunted up to the second tier subscription if God of War is mentioned in the release as being one of the available games.

I’m surprised it’s still a thing, it was worded as a thank you to early adopters.
