It wasn't at first. It launched as a pretty buggy and featureless game. The devs have worked very hard with it over the last year or so to add new content and kickstart the playerbase.

I don't remember it being that buggy at launch, I played a fair bit and never had any major issues. I agree they have kept adding to the game but I think it was fairly popular out the gate with a certain type of playerbase. A lot of people went into the game expecting it to be a lot more structured and it wasn't that which fed into the narrative of it being a failure but the base game had a lot going for it if you were into the game space it created.

This is a really interesting video explain possibly why Halo Infinite looks like it does.

Lines up with Gold yearly subscriptions going away and perhaps explains the Halo Infinite retail listing that appeared on Smyths saying multiplayer would be free.

Great move in my opinion and really puts Sony in a corner especially as PSPlus has looked worse as a value proposition for a while as they have slowly removed stuff from it.

I sure hope you like third person action-adventures because they make up half of the launch day lineup (and two of them are Ubisoft map marker simulators). They join two annual sports titles, one rally game, and... Fortnite. Not a particularly inspiring list, especially when you consider that not one of those 8 titles is a next-gen exclusive.

I think if I buy either console at launch is because of my impulsive needs and ineptitude with money.

Nothing there peaks my interest I must say.

I said it elsewhere but both console launch lineups look very thin, it's going to make the prices even more important in terms of early adoption rates and probably explains why Sony are waiting to long to announce as they apparently have less leeway in terms of price.

Xbox pricing seemingly leaked lastnight so Microsoft showed off the Xbox Series S with a price.

That's a very aggressive price for the lower powered console, won't be coming with a drive.

Original leak said Xbox Series S would be $299 and the Series X $499. So if the same conversion applies on the higher priced model we are possibly looking at a £449 Xbox Series X.

That’s the silver bullet for this gen. Gamepass is a blip compared to that.

512gb SSD will severely limit the amount you can actually install on the thing.
