Headline features are a singleplayer mode, 4 player multiplayer both adversarial and co-op, 3D Land levels and new Night stages which change up how different levels function. There are a load of other little feature changes as well, it's worth watching the video.

It sounds like a pretty generous package, with 100 levels designed in-house by Nintendo in the single-player mode alone. It sounds like there's a much more robust way of finding levels from other makers too.
I didn't bother getting the Wii U game because I didn't think creating my own levels would keep me entertained, but I may well pick up the Switch version.

Pokemon Direct happened earlier today. Now has a release date of the 15th of November. Main points are that there is an openworld outside the towns to explore. Pokemon are wandering around in the wild like in Lets Go. There are 4 player Raids where you fight giant Dynamax Pokemon, you can also turn your Pokemon into Dynamax Pokemon during battles. Also they added Sif from Dark Souls as a Legendary Pokemon.

I'm not keen on the whole giant Pokemon thing, but I suppose each new generation is going to have a battle gimmick now after the mega evolutions and now dynamax.

Rumours about this surfaced the other week and now it looks like they might well have been true, crazy if it is in fact real.

Indeed. The thing can barely run the barren, desolate land of Breath of the Wild.

Some of that is down to Nintendo's lack of experience with openworld tech.
