I'm still on Win7 too. I never want to upgrade, but I know it's going to have to happen one day. :(

Me neither, but seeing as I have to do a fresh Windows install anyway, plus all of the drivers on the Gigabyte site for this board are of the Win 10 flavour, I thought I might as well bite the bullet.

Windows 10 really isn't that bad. I only upgraded a couple of years ago myself because I was loathe to leave 7 behind, but overall it feels pretty much identical to me, except a couple of nifty little features and shortcuts that were added in. The only real irritant I've had in two years is that a few of the options menus have been moved or buried a bit deeper within the system settings, but once you know where they all are it literally feels the same.

It would have been a different story if they'd kept things similar to 8 with that horrific enforced Start screen nonsense, but thankfully I haven't even looked at that or installed a 'Windows Store' app since the day I installed the OS. I've used Win8 machines for work a few times and that OS is absolutely godawful.

I never really understood the hate Windows 8 got, but then I only ever ran it on Surface tablets that it was designed for. Windows 10 is better, yes, but it never really felt like a big change to me. I definitely prefer 10 to 7, but again, there's not much in it.

Honestly I've had so few problems with Windows that it's difficult to really tell one version from the other; they've just worked.

The old mouse packed in over the Christmas break so after sourcing a replacement I thought the old keyboard could do with a little refresh too whilst I was at it...

Pretty chuffed with it so far.

And that is the smallest desk space I've ever seen! Barely keyboard sized!

:D

The mouse was more or a less a straight replacement for my mkI Deathadder that I got in what must have been 2006. 12 and a bit years is pretty good going for a mouse I reckon, so I didn't see the need to change brands. Stick with what you know and all that.

I'm still under the stairs in my Saddam-style hidey hole unfortunately or fortunately depending on what way you look at it. Saddam was caught fairly quickly, I however remain very much at large.

Indeed. Pretty sweet. It might even be sweet enough to forgive the Funko Pop.

Maybe :D
