The demo has so many bugs in it, I'm not really sure why they put this build out. They range from big ones like enemies disappearing and people just not being able to load into the game to smaller ones like text missing from dialogue and buffs on equipment being 0%.

CD key site prices have dropped a fair bit from where they were before the demo came out, CDkeys price is down by £6.

The PS4 version feels very sub 30fps. The only thing I like about it is the feel of the double jump into charge melee out of the sky. It’s weighty. The shooting is sub-borderlands.

Leaked screenshot seems to suggest they'll be charging $20 for armour skins and $12 for emotes:

Prices may come down for release version as people kick off about it, but seems a stretch to think they'll come down to the level most would consider reasonable for a £50 game.

Well they need to reclaim their crown of "Most useless cunts in Gaming" from Bethesda...

Played the Xbox demo and can think of very little to recommend if I'm honest. If that's all the game has to offer then I wouldn't touch it with a 10 ft pole. Plus the server dropped just at the end of a difficult mission and I lost all progress, fuck that shite.

I have to admit that I wasn't even tempted to download the demo to play this weekend.

Interesting discussion on the tenuous future of Bioware and EA. They both really need this game to be a success or Bioware is very likely to be disbanded. EA has had a long string of underwhelming releases (Battlefront, Mass Effect and BF V). Apparently it needs to sell 10 million copies in the first few weeks or EA panics.

RIP Bioware (probably..)

I'd be surprised if an Anthem failure topples Bioware given that they can fall back on Dragon age 4, which is guaranteed cash in the bag regardless of quality.

Wouldn't be so sure on that if the Anthem reception is bad from those that are playing it currently suggest it is. Ea is looking for something to hit big for the next quarterly numbers and Dragon Age 4 would be ages away if they had any sense of letting it mature.

I'm not so sure that Dragon Age would even be that big of a hit given that the second game was awful and the third took so much mundane MMO inspiration.

EA aren't exactly known for keeping studios that aren't pulling their weight open. Bullfrog, Westwood, Origin, Pandemic, Maxis, Visceral; all studios that have produced massive hits in the past, all shuttered by EA. I don't think Bioware's too big to go, though I suspect it's a bit early to be saying such things.

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of Dragon Age, but regardless of what you think of them they are huge moneymakers. Inquisition was Bioware’s most successful launch title ever. If DA4 was rushed out in the next year then it would do a lot to repair a disastrous Anthem launch, although a rush job could wreck Bioware’s reputation even more.
