Ah no mate, I stuck exclusively to the servers where every ballbag had 1000% health and a better gun than me.

You obviously didn't play my 200% run speed, 10% gravity, all players start with a Gravity Hammer and Rocket Launcher gametype.
Didn't we get quite a few PW peeps on that at one point?

We did for a while, don’t remember that exact gametype but we definitely played it a fair bit

We did. From what I remember it basically felt like a Tribes game.

I did have fun with Combat evolved before it was launch with some of you guys at the time. Running over each other shenanigans :)

But it is a dramatic change for it to be on Steam. Is Microsoft thinking of removing the windows store at some point? As if it had that much traction in the market I doubt Halo would be on steam.

Halo:Reach for my money is the best in the series. Bungie's last great effort before 343 took over and made it all very bland.

I actually found Reach to be a little average. Not quite as much as 2, but not reaching the heights of 1 and 3. I only ever played it through once, compared to 5-10 times each for the previous games.

I guess I'm still excited to play through the series again (including, hopefully, ODST which I've actually never played).

ODST is good, an utter bastard on the harder difficulty levels mind you. The music is also a weird jazz thing, which is different.

I never actually played ODST. Reach is excellent, though it's much more sombre than the earlier entries.

I have very fond memories of playing all three of the originals to death on local coop. My friend and I properly broke Halo 2 by using various glitches to escape the maps and such.

The best thing about ODST was the amazing advertising campaign..

It also has Nathan FillIon as a voice actor in it.

I was quite excited for this coming out, but I have just realised that they are releasing it piecemeal, one a game at a time. :?

How I never noticed that to begin with I'll never know, but to say I'm a little disappointed is an understatement. It's gone from I'll probably buy this for the Christmas break to I'll probably buy this for the Christmas break 2020.

:(

I think he's provided voice work for half the games in the series. He's a major character in 5 (complete with facial likeness), and a generic marine in 3.
