Dwarf Fortress - Coming to Steam summer 2019 with official graphics pack

A bit excited by this news, actually, as someone who eagerly devours DF diaries when they get published (RPS itself has had a couple of crackers, and I still read the account of Boatmurdered every year or so), but who knows I would be hopelessly lost and put off by the ASCII graphics to see it being sold like this is really intriguing.

Will be priced at $20 (so the way these things usually works I assume it will be £20 or thereabouts). Definitely one I shall be keeping my eye on.

I have tried to get into it with some other graphical tilesets in the past but being pretty over whelmed in the mechanics and step aside. But I've been loving all the same sort of games that have took inspiration from it like Gnomoria and Rimworld to name a few.

I'll likely snap it up and give it another go. I can't see them asking for a lot for the game if there is a free version :)
Mr Annoyed and Proud of it.
