Celebs are still dropping off....
Re: Celebs are still dropping off....
Doesn't seem particularly funny considering someone did in fact die, is all.

A big shock for me today hearing that the great Niki Lauda is no more.
The battles between Lauda and Hunt are my first F1 memories, although I think I was about 3 when I decided that I liked the red cars, much to my Dad's horror.
A great talent and a funny, forthright and amazingly foul mouthed speaker, the world is a paler place for his passing.

I wasn't around for Lauda's F1 career, but his stint as major figurehead for the Mercedes team over the last decade certainly made me appreciate his forthright attitude and sense of humour. At the same time, it's somewhat amazing that a man given the last rites in 1976 has managed to live such a long and successful life. He'll be missed.

In her defence, it's been spelled with two Ks in plenty of English sources I've seen.

He was one of the protagonist voices for Hostile Waters (alongside fellow BBC sci-fi contemporary Tom Baker), and frankly I think it a shame he didn't do more voice acting work. His voice had a brooding malice to it that made him quite suitable for games.
