Ok, think I shall move Vasquez (plasma) to R16 and fire in a northerly direction.

As you line up your shot you see that it is a Chaos Marine in your sights. Your score of 3 beats the Armour value of 2 and the Chaos Marine disintegrates.

You also notice an Ork hiding in the corner:

Great. Would I have LOS on the enemy in R6 from x9?

Unfortunately no mate, your Bolter marine would be in the way there.

Not to worry, in that case Drake (cannon) shall move to U10 and fire at the dastardly ork before he Roy Batty's Apone through the wall.

2 of the 3 damage is used in shredding the Ork to pieces!

You've all made mincemeat of the Orks in this mission so far. All that's left is your commander.

Noice. I'll finish up my go by moving Gormless up behind Apone in V9 (I hate to use the word cowering, but...)

And finally this seems like a good time to chuck my blind grenades.

Nothing wrong with that! Bolter marines are meant to be nothing but meatshields. They're entirely expendable.

Also, excellent tactical use of the Blind Grenades. I'm going to have to look elsewhere for Marines to kill in my next turn now.

Can I just say how it's been killing me trying to decide which of those two rooms the dreadnought is lurking in

Ended up going trying to cover both bases, which will probably be a terrible decision.

It does get tense towards the end this game.

One thing I don't think I've mentioned yet - once I've placed the blips, I'm not allowed to decide to randomly swap them round & change their identities once they're placed. The aliens that I put there initially have to stay as they are.

Also, might be a good moment to mention a few things regarding the Dreadnought. It plays a little differently to all the other aliens:

* It's the size of 4 squares on the map (once revealed).
* It has 3 life points and a massive Armour rating of 4. So firing at it is difficult.
* It can't move diagonally or finish its move underneath a doorway.
* It can fire all 3 of its weapons OR engage in H2H combat each turn.
* It's 3 weapons are Missile Launcher, Assault Cannon & Bolter.
* Each life point it loses, it also loses one of its heavy weapons.

Not wanting to miss out on the action, Commander Valius orders his men to pick up the pace!

(one of your Bolters only used up 11 squares, so I moved him one step further for you)

It's now up to Animalmother to decide how to proceed; does he hang back or charge in there? Where might that Dreadnought be hiding?

I'm inevitably going to lose someone here. Bolter to Q5 and open door.
