I've tried rejoining this several times by requesting my password but to no avail. Suppose I should just setup a new account.
New account and back in my usual spot at the bottom. Ah yeah baby!!

Re: Daily forum quiz thread
The question I got wrong today is the one I get wrong every single damn time it comes up (and this is like the fourth or fifth time, at least). It's no good, the incorrect answer is now burned indelibly into my brain

My problem is having to re-read the same question over and over until I understand what the shit the ass clown who wrote it is getting at.

Oh em gee. I thought I was onto a winner yesterday. 10 out of 10 in 42 seconds. That's pretty unassailable right?
Nope. You guys are demons!
Oh and what the hell was number 7 today? That didn't make any sense, was there even a question in it?

Both my parents were/are very religious C of E true believers. Funny tale for you - I had to go to church as a kid, but never really believed any of it. When I got to about 12 or 13 and was old enough to be left home, I suggested that as it was a quarter of my weekend lost every weekend that I could be putting to much better use I stop going. No, says my dad, you need to get confirmed (kinda baptism v2.0) and then you can decide for yourself. Erm, says me, but that means I have to say a whole bunch of vows in front of a bishop, none of which I believe.
Dad was adamant though, so I sat through a whole load of evening religion lessons, listening to stuff I didn't believe in, then went to Guildford cathedral, said a load of gubbins to a bishop, none of which I meant, and barring weddings and funerals I haven't set foot in a church ever since*.
I heard so much bible stuff over the years though, some of it seems to have stuck
*With a few exceptions. I proposed to my wife in the dome of Sacre Couer in Paris because of the awesome view, also visited Notre Dame the same weekend. Also wandered round a few churches on excursions to Italy with the wife and done St Peters basilica and the Cistine chapel because, well why on earth wouldn't you? Love the architecture and the artworks, but have no religious beliefs whatsoever.

Interesting, thanks for sharing mate
Mine (well, mostly my mum really) are very religious also, though tending down the born-again route rather than the more churchy CofE type, and was even baptised during my University years (though it didn't stick). It's caused quite a few clashes in recent years, not so much us but what was being said to our kids behind our backs when they were looking after them.
Oh well. They're funny things, families.

The amount of times just this month's go where I've done my best in a round (with no mousewheel, using touchpad and PgDn to navigate) only to find some other bastard has done better than I have...

If I could I would fire all the bilnking questions about US sports - their stupid teams, stupid players and stupid coaches - into the bloody sun.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say Snowy's guess-fu was on point today

Haha Sly I will let you in on a secret, I know absolutely jack about any US sports. Hockey, basketball, baseball, NFL, whatever. Zip. Occasionally I recognise a name so pick it, and am always delighted by any hits I get as a result

Happy with 5/10 when I guessed every single answer today.
Fuck "modern" music (which to me is almost everything after about 1950).
