What We Do In The Shadows

I changed my mind, it is getting better with every episode with ep7 being a highlight
Spoiler
The cameos, even if they were green screened, from famous actors who have played vampires in other productions was very funny and dare I say a tad genius.

A great upbeat story of nature re-surging at Chernobyl. Animals once lost to the region have come back because man has fucked off.

Looking forward to Knightfall Season 2, especially since it has Mark Hamill as the Templar Grand Master.

Sadly, I'll have to wait til it comes out on Amazon/Netflix.

I started watching a show on Netflix called Timeless -- a story about a government-run time-travel experiment, and a conspiracy to radically altar American history. Wouldn't have chosen it myself, but my wife was keen and now I'm actually really enjoying it.

Gomorrah season 4

Before starting this I re-watched seasons 2-3 to remind myself of what happened. This show is just brilliant and when you think it can only get worse, it doesn't. I would say this is probably some of the best TV I have ever watched and may even surpass Breaking Bad. It's a tragedy of Shakespearean quality.

Stranger Things S3

Really enjoyed that, went into it pretty sceptical after how poor season 2 was. It's definitely a much darker tone and is more like an 80's horror in places, which no doubt was the idea.

Yeah, finished it the other night, agree it was much better than S2.

Just finished it myself. A lot better than season 2 but still not on par with the first. I feel like it's become a very different show now and has skewed more towards 80s homage than horror. Still very good in its own right as an over the top nostalgia fest but nothing like what we saw first time around which still stands up as some of my favourite TV.

I did love how gross the monster was this time around though. The clear links with The Thing were neat.

That's the thing that annoyed me about the second series. The constant bashing you on the head with the 80s stuff. This is the 80s you know? Did you know this is the 80s? Here's something else about the 80s. 80s, 80s, 80s!

That and Winona Ryder's weird face.

Honestly I wasn't even going to bother with the 3rd series, but I might just give it a go after the nice things you all say about it.

Archer season 10

Season 8 was a chore and I watched maybe 5 minutes of 9 before switching it off. This looks promising...hopefully.

Not exactly TV and I think I might be alone in this but if anyone else was a wee bit gutted that The Curious Creations Of Christine McConnell wasn’t renewed by Netflix (because it was wonderful!) she has started her own YouTube show called From The Mind Of Christine McConnell. It’s much more focused on the creation magic and currently features zero Henson puppets, sadly. It’s still a really good watch.

That woman..... man.... she’s the stuff celebrity crushes are made from, she’s incredible!
