The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes
Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes
Given my unfortunate predilection for terrible dice rolls when they're important, I'm beginning to view Charr as a well-meaning and extremely athletic idiot. Dropping the vampire in the river was a natural extension of that, but to be honest I just didn't realise vampires were a big deal in D&D and someone had earlier mentioned how running water would dissolve one.
My bad.
My bad.
Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes
TBF I probably could have signalled just how dangerous vampires can be in D&D 5E. There are lesser/fledgling vampires, but this guy was the full fat. Plus the river thing was too funny to stop.
Thoughts on this week? I should be free any day except tonight.

I must admit when you said a bit about that later on in the session, I was thinking how bloody lucky we got with that particular effect upon pushing the mystery button, which ended the encounter before it had really begun. We might have been in serious trouble but for that.
Any night for me really.

I don't want to reveal too much behind the scenes stuff, suffice it to say that I genuinely wasn't sure how you guys were going to resolve that situation. If it came to a fight, I'd expected it to be VERY close. I'd considered that the mystery button might be used, but honest to god that was an insanely lucky roll for the circumstance! Never in a million years would I have guessed that Mr Vamp would be taken down on round 1, turn 1, which I guess does make sense for a happy-go-lucky rogue.Sly Boots wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 12:16 pmI must admit when you said a bit about that later on in the session, I was thinking how bloody lucky we got with that particular effect upon pushing the mystery button, which ended the encounter before it had really begun. Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes
I think I can do any night this week too. Well, except this one, obviously.
Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes
I may need to have a break this week. I'm away later in the week and feel like I'm coming down with a bug at the moment so just want to rest up.
Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes
Yep, no problem. It's the week leading up to our major software release of the year, so may be a good idea for me to have a break too!
Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes
Did you make any changes to the available shared options in the campaign on DnD Beyond, Wrath? Went on there earlier to look something up and now all the shared access to the extra rulebooks isn't working and it doesn't let me access any of it as options for Sage when I go in if I need to edit his character.
Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes
Should be okay now - I'd forgotten to update my credit card details and the subscription to the master tier had expired.
Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes
Tues, Weds or Thurs are my available days this week.
Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes
Any of those sound fine. I'd prefer Weds or Thurs though.

Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes
I can't do tuesday, the others should be ok.
Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes
I can't do this week either I'm afraid, I've just got way too much on trying to catch up from being ill that I can't spare an entire evening.
Re: The return of the D&D campaign: This time it's potatoes
No problem, I’ve had some devious ideas for the game so this will give me time to think them through.

Should be free any day this week.
