Hooray, we're not dead yet!

If we're taking votes then I say let's have a look inside that room to the north.

It now reverts back to the HERO PHASE and Bellis, the Leader, should decide the turn order (though not before discussion of a plan of action, of course).

Ooh, we've found the stairs down already. I suggest we look around on this level a bit more first. That room might have some nice treasure.

The image is blocked on my work network
That's terrible! Is that due to the image uploader I'm using, the title of the image, or is it just all images?
You're not using Imgur by any chance are you? That hosting platform doesn't get through our firewall for some reason.

I am indeed. I'll find another host.

It wouldn't surprise me if the others were blocked too, we have pretty tight network security as a necessity.

Stick with whatever works for you, I can check the images on my phone if needs be.

And I concur with the group, let's check out the door to our north before leaving this floor. Turn order might as well be the same as last time.

Edit: That one is also blocked. :(

I guess it's Gibnar's turn, then!

We could always split up too. Often used to happen back when I was playing - a warrior would break off & peek his head round a corner to see. (Although that was once we were levelled up a bit..)

Plus, if we find a dead end, we can search for secret doors. (Sorry if I'm taking over Doug! ¬_¬)

Actually, for us noobs, while we're waiting could I ask about actions - can you move and act in one turn, or is it a case of move one turn, perform and action the next etc...?

So, can Gibby move to the door and open it in one turn? Or can we move and then search for secrets?

By the way, I found the online rulebook here. It's a good read! :

Page 30-ish onwards goes through the sequence of play.

Thanks for that, has answered my question. I think as we're just starting out and two of us are of dubious survivability, it might make sense for now to stick together. I think we should congregate around that door and let brave, bold Gibar stick his head through.

I'll be standing very closely behind him.

EDIT: It's a shame none of us had a 2-hander, it opens up the possiblity of attacking diagonally. Can be very useful in corridors/doorways.

Currently we're in Exploration Mode, so during the Hero Phase of that Mode, Heroes can move up to 12 spaces, open doors, open chests, and walk to the edge of unexplored areas. In dead ends (which you've not found yet), they can choose not to move, but search for secret doors. They can also choose not to move and spend the turn taking off, our putting back on, their armour.

Gibnar can move to the door and open it on his turn, but one thing I'm struggling to understand is this: do we move straight into the Exploration Phase if Gibnar opens the door on his turn, or does he open the door, then everyone else takes their turn, THEN we go into Exploration Phase?

Gibnar has a spear, though, which can also do that.

I'm the last person to ask, but thought I read in that link Maturin posted that rooms (and other explored areas) are revealed once everyone has taken their turn?
