Inside Number 9

From the same people behind League of Gentlemen. This is some dark stuff I must say but fucking hilarious at the same time. I've only watched 3 episodes so far but it's been a hoot. The 2nd episode bring one of the funniest things I've seen in ages.

It's fantastic. One or two duff episodes but on the whole excellent. The Christmas episode (forget the title) destroyed me when I saw it, just heart-breaking.

Just awful. It’s not worth explaining more.

Yup, I started watching it but hated all the characters. I then stumbled upon a youtube video explaining why it was all so bad and I'm glad I didn't carry on watching it. The video was very good and worth a watch so you can hate the programme more :)

It’s a ship of hot models that are inept at everything until the plot demands they science. It makes Lexx look high class.

Agree, I gave it 20 min before I could feel my brain cells actually dying.

I made it through the first episode and regretted it. It felt like they were trying to manufacture conflict not by giving characters conflicting goals but by making everyone be a dick. I did laugh when...
Spoiler
...First Officer Ballsack called a mutiny five minutes after waking up because [insert stupid reason here]. Absolutely no rising tension, just:

Katee Sackhoff: "Okay, let's do a space mission."
Ballsack: "O contraire, Captain. I think you'll find this is a mutiny!"
Zapp Brannigan: "Throw her in the brig!"

Drifted away from Swamp Thing although will probably go back at some point. Started on Mr Mercedes on Prime - seems very good so far. An ex-cop (Brendan Gleeson) starts getting messages from a killer that he never caught. Gleeson is brilliant, and the series is a Stephen King adaptation.

Is that the one that starts with a car running through a queue of people? Never watched past that first episode....forgot all about it.

This is boring TV. Having enjoyed Deutschland 83, even with some of its mis-steps, Deutschland 86 has really struggled to keep my attention as the story is split with so many differing plot lines that on the face of it having to do with each other. I made it to episode 3 and moved on. Another case of story that outlived its point.

The second child is sometimes the most troublesome. The Deutchland saga ends with 89 - I might return to it then as it will cover the collapse of the Soviet Union. Very disappointed.

Moved on to Better Call Saul season 2
Games playing : Bioshock (Remastered) / Total War Britannia / Dirt 4

Yes. The sods have just shifted it into the "pay another sub" category though (see Room 101 thread) so have had to torrent it.

Sly, I am about 5 episodes in now and it is very good.

Living with Yourself (Netflix)

Enjoying this a lot, about halfway through the season I think and will certainly be watching the rest. Elevator pitch would be a grimdark Multiplicity, I guess. Paul Rudd is sick and tired, has no passion for his job or marriage and, on the advice of a co-worker, visits what he believes to be a spa but turns out to be a cloning facility. There are humorous elements in what follows, but I wouldn't say it's really a comedy, more a study of the various characters coming to terms with the situation and the issues in their lives, and very watchable. Recommended.

Has the new Red Dwarf been worth watching? I think I watched the first Dave series and wasn't hugely enamoured with it. I'd have loved Red Dwarf to get a film around the series 6 days, but I get the feeling it's all a bit long in the tooth these days.
