Basingstoke

I'm not interested in this game at all, I am posting it up entirely for the sake of Sly Boots, who lives there:

Basingstoke is a tense roguelike that mixes stealth and arcade action. Explore the smouldering ruins of apocalyptic Basingstoke, UK, a world of extreme peril where reanimated undead and ferocious alien monsters roam!

"Kingdoms and empires pass away like mist from the sea; the people shout and triumph and even in the revelry of Belshazzar's feast, the Medes break the gates of Babylon."

— Robert E. Howard, The Gates of Bal-Sagoth

I understand it's actually quite good, but like you I'm not sure I fancy playing it. Living it is enough -_-

I once went on a week-long training course at IBM in Basingstoke. I have to admit, there wasn't really much to go and see during the lunch breaks so we kinda just stayed in the canteen.

It's one of those close-to-London hub towns isn't it? Bit like High Wycombe, where I used to live.

In High Wycombe, there's a chair museum. All about chairs.

I remember when Festival Place first opened and it was the bees knees. The Ster Century cinema was fantastic and such a step up from the other shitty cinemas in the area.

Now it's, well... Basingstoke.

:P

I meant the Fleet Air Arm Museum, not realising I hadn't set the joke up properly...
