Details surrounding the 21 year old who supposedly died from it despite having no other health conditions are a little controversial at the moment. Seems there's a lot of misinformation about it and some of the latest news emerging about it are that she wasn't infected with Covid-19. Of course there's also a chance that she was but just wasn't tested. Either way I wouldn't take it as a given at the moment that she was a victim of it.

Yeah, I saw that. Basically the coroner saw she had some of the symptoms and (without tests) announced that was the cause of death, which surprised the hospital where she was being treated as that wasn't in their thinking at all.

Apparently her family have had to delete social media accounts after getting abuse from people accusing them of spreading misinformation, because bascially people are shit.

A man has been arrested after deliberately coughing in the face of a paramedic, police have said.

The ambulance service was called just before 11pm on Saturday to a man in Stroud, Gloucestershire, who was feeling unwell.

A spokeswoman for Gloucestershire Police said:

They attended an address where another man who was self-isolating allegedly deliberately coughed in the face of one of the paramedics.

The man, a 43-year-old, was arrested, charged and remanded for assaulting an emergency worker by way of coughing and threatening GBH by infecting with Covid-19.

His arrest follows a spate of similar incidents since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak.

The ambulance service involved thanked ATS for replacing the tires for free, the spitting and binmen thing I gathered from the news. The "every bin" comment is my own extrapolation...

There will be many people who can't get the proper treatment they need, some of whom will die as a result, and some of those will have dickhead family members who lash out at the NHS violently because they can't reconcile the fact that this situation is beyond the NHS's capacity, no matter what they do. That's the best explanation I can come up with.

Either that or they're just mindless arseholes. Humanity's worst never fail to float to the surface.

It doesn't surprise me that forty plus years of single minded individualism combined with a growing underclass of people stuck in permanent poverty leads to people like that who simply don't give a shit and feel there's something to gain from causing trouble.
