Trump: Impeach is the new Orange
Re: Trump
I personally don't think that you should admire or judge a politician on their ability to simply win elections. Because people are fallible and can be led into voting for silly things. (Just look at the UK as a prime example)
Do I think Trump is insanely brazen and has huge balls to just bullshit his way through everything? Yes. Do I admire him for that? Not really, actually I think his attitude and example is pretty much everything that is wrong with politics.
My own judgement of a politician is based on what they do while they're actually in power. And I think that Trump is a disgusting human being.

It doesn't take balls when you're a billionaire who steams into an election to stoke your own ego. His utter indifference to the consequences is sociopathic, not ballsy.Achtung Englander wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2020 9:51 amhe is not an intellectual genius but he is a master at the top of his game in not giving a damn. That takes a massive amount of balls. He makes Nixon look like an amateur.
And I am sorry to say this you are getting heated up because you (and I) hate the man but instead of throwing insults at him (it doesn't work as I said) you need to find his Achilles heal. Insults will not work. Going high brow will not work. Even humiliating him will not work. He does not care or is too stupid to care which makes him almost indefeatable.

Re: Trump
trust me guys I agree with everything you say but I admire his ability to survive. Its admiration born from disgust and disbelief. In many ways I wish I was like that sometimes but I cannot because I have morals and a brain.

Each to their own.
The only admiration I have in this situation is for the US politicians who continue to try and run a country while their president shits over everything they do, because if I was in their situation I would walk firmly in the other direction and not look back.

You know Hannity gets all the Foxy leftest love but I urge you to all go and try and get through an episode of Laura Ingrams show without wanting to push the button from the end of Beneath The Planet Of The Apes. She is such a dumb twat but a very smart dumb twat because she is just playing the listeners like a fiddle. She is able to turn "wear a mask to stop the spread" into "wear a mask as the first step to giving up all your freedom to the socialist radical left". Also the most annoying voice in media, it oozes smarmy gunk.

Re: Trump
US politics is a cesspool and Trump is the orange turd that floated to the top. The toxic gas generated from below keeps him bobbing on the surface. You can't insult or humiliate a turd, you can't reason or find common ground with a turd. When your literally the end result of all the chewed up vitriol and hatred in a society who cares what anyone says or thinks of you? Your currently basking on the surface and until a bigger nastier lump of shit bubbles up and knocks you aside, fart out nonsense and enjoy watching the world having to suck it in.
Re: Trump
I know one thing, The West will be brought down because it has come to allow truth to be expendable, bendable, ignorable, deniable, invaluable, and at the back of the queue. Our whole lives have become reliant on mistruths in everything, from the food we eat, everything we buy and how it is made and sold to us. "Success" relies on how untrue you are to get there....which isn't success, because it becomes a never-ending hunt for more. Lose sight of truth, you lose sight.

This. To have any admiration for this is akin to the people willing to let Cummings et al get away with anything "'cos it winds up the meedya luvvies and elites".Animalmother wrote: ↑Thu May 28, 2020 11:34 amUS politics is a cesspool and Trump is the orange turd that floated to the top.

Riots over the the death of George Floyd in police custody and Trump says this:
Note the Twitter filter about glorifying violence, and rightly so (I think you have to follow through the tweet to see it). A man dies in the most disgraceful, racist circumstances, but a catchy rhyme of looting and shooting will calm everything down, right?

Re: Trump
There was a phone video on IG last night of a group of protesters who disturbed and called out a strange guy who seemed to be trying to start a fire at a building, he seemed very odd and out of place, dressed in black, full face gasmask and a black umbrella.....Could have been a shill, or just an Arsonist loner, but yeah, weird.
America, fuck yeah.

Re: Trump
This was something I'd never come across, but there's a historical context to that phrase that makes it all the worse.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-52846679In a Twitter thread, the social network said: "This tweet violates our policies regarding the glorification of violence based on the historical context of the last line, its connection to violence, and the risk it could inspire similar actions today."
The "historical context" is a reference to the late 1960s, when the phrase "when the looting starts, the shooting starts" was coined by Miami Police Chief Walter Headley, in reference to his aggressive policing policies in black neighbourhoods
I think even if we give Trump the benefit of the doubt and that he didn't understand this context, it's a bloody stupid thing to say and Twitter are right to hide it.
Re: Trump
Its really weird. They fact checked one of his tweets and his retort was an executive order making social media responsible for posts on their sites forcing them to do this. Was it hot dumb or was it forcing their hand to do this so that he can get more support for proper legislation?

There's something funny about this claim in that two different sources I'm aware of have asked the poster to contact them to try to verify the story only to have been blocked on whatever media.
