Need a new phone to replace my ageing pixel 1 XL but I cant decide between a Pixel 3 XL or a Oneplus 7t, anyone tried one or the other phone?
Pixel 3 XL
+Better camera
+Wireless Charging
+Best version of Android and fastest updates
+Rear finger print sensor
-Can be slow due to a lack of RAM and shitter CPU/GPU
-Smaller screen
OnePlus 7t
+Apparently the interface is fast as fuck
+90hz screen
+Bigger screen
+Better battery life
-Slightly worse Android, probably
-Shitter camera, can be made better using the google camera app
Thoughts?
New Phone Pixel 3 XL vs OnePlus 7t
Re: New Pnone Pixel 3 XL vs OnePlus 7t
My priorities would lie with better camera, and first-party OS support.
I found out the other day that OnePlus only just released Android 10 for the 5T, despite A10 coming out in September last year. It's good that they've bothered to keep support for a relatively "old" device, but that's a long lead time for an OS update, no?

I'm not that bothered about the camera really, I really only take photos of the baby. I would like the quicker updates on the pixel, though sometimes OnePlus can do them withing 14 days. However if the 5t takes 10 months it may not bode well for future updates. Fucking hard decision, annoying that Google under specced the pixel 3.

I've heard great things about the OnePlus UI. I wouldn't be too concerned about OS updates, things don't really change that much and they rarely change for the better so not having updates straight away would never be a major concern for me.

Re: New Phone Pixel 3 XL vs OnePlus 7t
I have a OnePlus 7, it's alright. It's pretty fast to operate and was easy enough to setup. I had an android phone before this so it was very similar. The camera is 48MP which is utterly wasted on me, my mate has same phone and he's taken some amazing photos with it. Battery life is supposed to be better but I'm not seeing any improvement over my last 4 year old phone. It does recharge very quickly though. The sound out of it is phenomenal, amazing if you have a high quality song. No headphone jack though, which is bullshit so you'll need Bluetooth headphones, tis wank.
Has 6Gb of RAM and 128Gb HD.

Went for the pixel 3 xl in the end, got a new one off eBay for £340, the OnePlus 7t was coming in at 430 to 460 so that's made my choice for me. I was edging towards the OnePlus but I'm not paying 100 more for it.
