Titanfall 2
It is superb.
Probably the best FPS I have played since HL2

Got to the first boss fight and decided I was just going through the motions and it wasn't interesting me. Movement was clever and all, but...yeah that was about it. Am annoyed I didn't see the fun that so many others have enjoyed tbh.

Nothing to be ashamed about. There are many hugely popular games I just don't "get", like Final Fantasy.

No don't pander to him, he should be ashamed for not liking it
The boss fights could be a bit tedious and I generally hate fps games that force wall running and jumping on you, but Titanfall 2 managed to not be too frustrating. Some of the later levels in the game are just fantastic fun. The combat in and out of the titan is fast and frenetic with really punchy weapons. And it just looks and sounds great.
Because Apex Legends is so successful we probably won't see a Titanfall 3 anytime soon. Thanks Snowy

I feel the start of it wasn’t great but the second half was packed with great moments.
Also I finished You Must Build A Boat. I don’t think it’s very good but I also didn’t want it to beat me so yeah...

I wasn't that enamoured with Titanfall 2 at the start either but it really goes some places.
Re: Currently Playing
Yearly Star Citizen check in.
FPS battles feel like crap.
The on foot sections are good looking tedium. Walking for walkings sake.
Space stuffs decent enough.
Not much else worth saying. It’s still super rough and feels like it hasn’t really advanced much in 3+ years.

They hit $300million in June.

I'll pay attention to Star Citizen when Squadron 42 is released. Until then it's nothing more than a tech demo to me.

Re: Currently Playing
Currently replaying Mafia 2, the new version. It has quite a few negative reviews so will report back, but if you have the original this one is free so no great hardship if it is bobbins.
EDIT: Had some oddities already - in the jewel heist, Vito was completely unable to get onto a ledge, nothing would persuade him up. A quick google revealed that it was because there were glitched NPC cops in a nearby stairwell - I wandered over and capped them and was miraculously able to clamber onto the ledge.
I then enjoyed the prison sequence, especially as all the prisonsers were made up of the same models, so it looked like I was being welcomed by a baying pack of clones. I then realised that the guards were also from the same lab as all were identical.
For all the glitches and pretty poor repetition of faces though, as well as the terrible lip-synch, I am still enjoying my replay.

I bet the Playboys are gone

Re: Currently Playing
Nope, all still there as is all the original dialogue.
Must say very occasional jank is no obstacle to my thoroughly enjoying this again. It has been so long since I played it I barely remember it, and the storytelling is just superb. I am a horror for skipping cutscenes and am happily sitting through these. If this is in your library and it is a while since you played, do yourself a favour and replay it.
