It's because Sony don't want to have to offer refunds to people going forward. If they set a precedent for this game people will expect it for others so it's been pulled instead. Highlights how crappy the digital stores are on consoles in terms of their refund policies. If it was really about the quality of the game they would have pulled the physical copies from sale as well.

Been putting in a few more hours and exploring some new areas. I'm frustrated with myself that I've visited so many stores, looking for crafting kits, and not realizing that you have to click "view all" in order to see them ](*,) Oh well. I'll just have to go back. Last night I spent wandering some of the many vertical areas of Japantown and just being amazed at the depth of the city, so to speak. And it was nighttime the entire playthrough, I could almost feel my feet on the pavement at times.

I saw on Reddit some guy trying to find a yellow T66, and I found one just a bit ago, took some terrible screenshots (still learning the UI for that feature), so anyway here's my V in her favorite yellow jacket, next to her shiny yellow muscle car:

The level of detail on that wheel rim is ridiculous

So I'm a little late to the party, but I've gotten started properly now. Honestly I've found the experience somewhat overwhelming, particularly during combat. The game doesn't seem to give you a lot of tutelage in regards to some of the more technical aspects, like RAM usage or how best to utilise some of the quickhack abilities. It also took me an age to work out why I kept getting set on fire.

My first impressions were actually a little disappointing. I went with the Corpo lifepath, and it seemed like

a lot of quite elaborate setup for something that lasts all of 20 minutes - I was basically hoping for the boardroom from Robocop, not a brief conversation followed by a taxi ride. It's enough to make me wonder whether I made a bad choice at some point that ended the experience early.
I've also had a lot of crashing issues on loading. There was one point in the Flathead retrieval mission where every time I died, reloading a checkpoint crashed the game. I could save manually, and those seemed to load alright, but every autosave reloading took me back to the desktop.

Raid, re: the opening scenario choice -
Spoiler
they're all kinda short and just lead to the "buddy reel" that flashes the story forward a year.

I quite enjoyed the nomad opening fwiw, felt very thematic and some good action.

The whole city is a movie set. CDPR art team must have watched Robocop a billion, zillion, times because it just looks and feels like it.

When in combat, you can get quickhacked yourself by some enemies, and set on fire.

Yeah, I got that fairly quickly, but it was happening despite them not being able to see me. The bit I couldn't work out is that enemies can quickhack you through security cameras in the same way that you can do it to them. The tutorial teaches you to do this yourself, I just hadn't put two and two together.

Seems like the crowd responses to bullets and mayhem has been fixed. I'm no longer seeing everyone just crouched down with their hands over their heads - as soon as I start a gunfight on the streets, pedestrians are screaming bloody murder and bolting off in all directions. Quite a nice thing to see!

I cannot stress enough how much I am enjoying this game. I just wander around and get lost, like in the shantytown to the northeast of V's apartment building. What an amazing spot to explore. The sense of scale is mind-boggling sometimes. Abs, you're right - the art dept gets 10/10 from me. Everywhere is stunning and detailed, down to the mattresses tucked behind rooftop satellite dishes and whatnot. It is beautiful and melancholy and mesmerizing.

Probably the first game I've ever bothered with the photo mode :) It's that nice.
